Domestic and European Rugby

Really pleased for them.

And that was fucking stupid by Ewels, really lucky that he didn't badly injure Leach.

The match was sponsored by a Jamanese vitamin supplier and the trophy was a four foot high inflatable pot of vitamin pills. That wasn't completely inflated.

Jamie George had to hold it and smile for everyone but his face was saying "there has to be a hidden camera around right? Right?"

Huge congratulations to Glasgow for winning the United Rugby championship in South Africa beating the Bulls (Pretoria so at altitude, having had to travel only a few days ago!

Very few away teams win in Pretoria

Just received an email from World Rugby saying that England v Fiji will be on live (for free) at 3:30 on England vs Fiji

Also says Ireland v Georgia and Wales v Spain on soon (not sure when though) and extended highlights of previous matches.

I meant to post about this but got side tracked.

I couldn't listen to the whole thing, but during the last 20 it sounded like the All Blacks game management was way better and that's what won it.

TBH after the six nations being iffy at best, surely at 1 point loss to the AB's away represents a serious improvement for England.

Young Marcus not having his kicking boots on was costly.

Although in Cunningham-South & Finn Baxter they have two fantastics prospects for several years to come.

Smiths kicking boots let England down. Penalty count was far too high with England being too sloppy at the breakdown

I torrented that match and the Wales one. Haven’t seen Ireland score so far so will torrent that one tomorrow

I found a rugby torrent website last week as missed most of the matches. I can PM if anyone interested, the England match was up by 1330 last week.

Probably will do a now tv day pass tomorrow.

I don’t think England will win against NZ (0805) now George Furbank - hard as nails in defence and a great attacking full back is out with back spasms. Steward isn’t agile enough in the back field and offers little in attack. He’ll probably be chasing box kicks as his main skill is in the air.

Wales v Australia 1045 - likely another straightforward win for the Aussies. Wales’s best player Aaron Wainwright is injured which isn’t ideal. A good result for Wales will be scoring a few tries and the new combinations they’re trying clicking a bit.

Ireland v South Africa 1600. Not sure. You’d fancy Ireland to have a bit of a backlash but they’re down a hooker and a scrum half, and Bundee Aki, though their replacements aren’t slouches, though on the other hand they’re down in Durbs, so not at altitude. But I think they’re running on empty after a long season and Irish teams have been choking in the big games all year.

On Sunday 1530 it’s England under 20s on RugbyPass app in their semi final against Ireland
