Just as existentialist explained upthread.
I also have nothing but disdain for the idiots who use the exemption loophole as an excuse for their selfishness.
Thanks, (it looks odd though that you quote my reply to the wonderfull Mr Pickman, makes it look like its something I said to you, not your intention I'm sure)

I noted this morning to my husband that our synagogue is the one place I see 100% compliance with mask wearing - interesting that you see that in a community where people feel a strengthened sense of responsibility toward one another. And also a community that was hit really hard in the first wave of COVID - at peak we had a week where bereavement notices went up from one a week to two or three a day for about a fortnight. :( So no one's taking any chances.

My mask fell out my pocket before I needed to get on a bus so I popped into Sainsburys to try and buy one with my glove clasped over my face  I got given one for free!

The one inside place where I’ve stopped wearing them is watching my youngest’s swimming lessons, just because it makes a huge difference for her to see me smile and mouth encouragement. Otherwise it’s hardly a big deal to put them on. At work I’ve sometimes forgotten I’m wearing them when in an empty office.

Very annoying for us ADD/ADHD sufferers. Keys, Phone, Wallet. Now we have to add "mask" to the list of things not to forget before leaving the house.

But yes, always wear a mask when required and have no problem with it

Everyone in Asda Ramsgate was wearing a mask today. When the public are given instructions they follow. We are good people.

Apart from the knobs obviously. They just be knobs :)

Mask wearing has increased a bit at work now but yesterday was the first day this week that the levels of agresssion have also increased.....still a lot of people not doing it and quite a few expressing suprise that they are expected to ...
A lot of "those people aren't wearing one so why should i"...trying to explain that if people say they're exempt then there is nothing we can do about it....the worst groups seem to be men aged 18-40 and students (we are next to a Uni)...seeing as the students are in the age bracket that are most likely not to have had a jab it kinda beggars belief....our security guard was proper sick of it yesterday, we shut at 11pm and the last hour and a half no one seemed to have a mask with them.

Oh and i had a guy who when i reminded him to have a mask next time, thought it was hilarious to do theatrical coughing at me as he left so he got barred and as he went outside (still 'coughing' and laughing at me) told him to fuck off

A Harverster. Oh dear.

On the 300 bus and most adults are masked, although one rather cheerful chap has just got on bare faced. There are some kids who aren't. When I got on there was only me and the driver several meters and two open windows, which felt a little like over-the -top.

The jolly maskless one has just sneezed.

Same as 🙄

I have them stuffed in pockets and bags. Very occasionally forget 😔 but that goes for everything in life.

I've never stopped wearing masks on shops and on public transport since the beginning of the pandemic. Seems such a small thing to ask.

Good to see almost everyone on the tube wearing masks yesterday too.
£200 fine from TFL probably has something to with that. If I’m not wearing a mask in a shop it’s now because I’ve forgotten. Most people in small shops aren’t.

Lots more mask wearing round here. Almost everyone locally in smaller shops and a fair few older types wearing them in the street. More customers at work (restaurant) wearing them when going to use the toilets.

No staff at work wear one aside from me. But the electrician and various other bods who came in were wearing them. TBF we all do LFTs before our shift which I think makes people feel a lot safer. Plus they are all fairly young...

Up here the local Morrisons supermarket is I'd say still about 30% non-mask wearing...

Tube is pretty good now.

This surprises me. In my little town I went out at lunch and probably almost that proportion were masked up outdoors.

Social distancing in Greggs was a bit shit tbf.

public transport in my sunny corner of SE london - i'd say 90% masked. shops, i would say 60%, which pisses me off every time i go out, but what can you do.
