Odd that both Ivory Coast & Sudan has gone ape shit in the past week, but we can't afford dog shit bags in my park cos we're spending millions bombing Libya. How did they chose Libya over the other two? Paper, scissors, oil?

Probably because they saw a revolution in progress that looked to be going all the way against a leader that they've always disliked. They backed it, then watched the wheels fall off and said leader appear to regain control. They thought "in for a penny, in for a pound" and had a pop.
