I had to look at it a few minutes before I clicked it was a bar graph in disguise. I’m foggy today and I wasn’t zoning in on it. So I don’t actually think it does make its point well.

I'm sort of glad you were confused. it's terrible really as yes, you're looking at areas under curves at first. Or I am.

Graphs filled in with curves usually represent movement over time like in opinion polls approaching an election or similar. So it's very confusing as nothing is moving, it's a single static survey.
