French's is an abomination.

It is an abomination.
A dirty but sometimes delicious abomination.

It's the same as that I love good cheese but sometimes I want plastic cheese slices.

In fact, French's and plastic cheese slices go well together in a burger

I love all mustard but my favourite is wholegrain. Very versatile.

We have some of this in the fridge and it's delicious and very hot.

French's is an abomination. Ok for under 10 year olds I suppose but otherwise not worthy of the name "mustard".

TBF, if you're smearing it on the bland tube of meat paste otherwise known as the American hotdog, it's fine.
If you're having it with something that has a more challenging flavour than a hotdog, though, it's shite. :)

I reckon you're total filth in secret, young lady!

That looks like it would taste "yellow"

Why would you want to put "yellow" on anything?

Especially something that's "safety sealed" FFS is Yellow that dangerous?

It's the same colour as the poo of very young babies. I think that tells us all we need to know about it. :)

Why is there... can barely bring myself to say the word, French products on this thread about mustard?

well, it's basically made for hot dogs/cheap burgers. I don't think it was intended to be in competition with the better quality mustards of the world.

Mustard, yes! Mixed with mayo, for chips :)

I also used to make a soup that was basically beetroot, a touch of onion, a little potato and mustard. Godliness!

Oh, and it has to be whole grain mustard for me.

how can there be a 5 page thread on mustard?

anyway, english for steak/beef, french for dressings, either/or/both for cheese sauce/cheese on toast, mustard seed for potato curries.

Mustard is part of British identity like Pepsi is to America.
