I love it when you get a bit greedy with the wasabi on a piece of sushi and it jolts into your skull and buzzes you awake.
It really is most fortifying.

I like taking those little sachets of wasabi, putting it between my teeth and squeezing it all out onto my tongue for a good wasabi rush.

I prefer Heinz.

They used to do an ad for Grey Poupon mustard. Two guys in Rolls Royces pull up beside one another. One asks the other in a plummy accent if he has mustard. The other englishman replies, 'I have Grey Poupon!'. Put me right off fancy English mustard.:(

Fucking hell. That is to mustard what McDonalds is to real burgers. Even you should know that.

Wasabi is amazing too. Another one that makes you rush your tits off a bit.

I only realized fairly recently that wasabi isn't really wasabi about 99% of the time and I've probably never even had the real thing - unless you're in a top-end Japanese restaurant, the green stuff you get with sushi is a mix of horseradish and mustard.

It's oversharp and tends to overpower whatver you put it with. I assume this is a holdover from the days when you used to 'cure' game fowl by hanging it by the neck, then eating it when the body separated from the head.

You are simply using too much dear boy. Be a little more sophisticated. It's not about squirting dollops, it is about a refined spread suitable for the morsel you are about to consume.

I love mustard in any form, but admit to having a particular fondness for Colmans.

Colman's for everyday. The powder if I run out, or for adding to homemade mayonnaise etc. Button likes smooth Dijon instead of Colmans occasionally, I tend to use it for cooking. Whole grain mustard I love too, but with roast ham (and smeared over it for roasting) rather than sandwiches. My favourite is good hot horseradish though.
