David Icke on the Russell Brand show

I thought it was awful when he was on that chat show ages ago (Terry Wogan?). The man was clearly mentally ill....it made me think of a modern version of taunting the inmates of bedlam. Horrible.

He was much more reasonable than many other 'neutral' interviewers we've heard him with. Not much I could really disagree with Icke about there anyhow.

And it seems like he's on again next week for those who missed it.

Since his name's been mentioned I've looked up his website and I'm just having a quick browse of the forums.

From the 'reptilians' forum:

Suddenly, as I watched, his head and upper body, which were clearly visible, seemed to be enveloped in a dark haze, and his head appeared to change. His hair seemed to disappear, and his head took on a longitudinally flattened shape, and seemed to get much darker. Then, as suddenly as it appeared, the strange change was gone and his normal face and upper body appeared. I sat there stunned. Had I really seen what I thought I saw? I blinked and rubbed my eyes.

and...

Regarding the "sighting" I wrote about before, it's still a mystery to me, that is, whether I actually witnessed a partial shapeshift or not. As you mention, graflok, it does seem to fit descriptions by other people. What I wonder now is, did other people at the Committee hearing see what I saw? I kept watching it after I observed the supposed "sighting," to check the reactions of those at the hearing. No one seemed surprised or alarmed, so they probably didn't see what I saw. It's very puzzling . Either is really didn't see what I thought I saw, and may have been imagining a shapeshift after reading David Icke, or shapeshifts are not always seen by everyone in the vicinity. How could that be? I haven't the foggiest. Do you?

I don't know whether to laugh or cry, tbh...

don't tell me it's the first time you've heard of him

He's always on Talksport, the James Whale show in the evening IIRC (I listen to it while I'm having my end of day tidy up).

Here's a question for you Jazz, where did all this reptilian bollocks come from? how did it start? it's intriguing and amazing the amount of people who believe it, especially with the amount of video "evidence" on youtube, seriously go on you tube and search reptilian, it's a laugh a minute.

....How and why does your average reasonably intelligent, reasonably likable people get sucked into cults and conspiracy theories?

I don't know but I do believe in this case, Mr. Jazz does it for the attention.

He likes the attention and likes to feel like he is on the "inside".

BTW, that's not meant to be insulting to you Jazzz, it is just why I believe you post up threads like this. :)

Its almost like he deliberately comes out with this lizard bullshit to discredit his saner theories. hmm - now there's a thought

Thanks for that I've never considered checking out youtube for clear evidence of shape-shifters.

WOW that’s scary  - I am a convert now. ;)

Even Icke himself is a reptilian, there's video evidence on you tube   ;)

Shape-shifts a lot of books does Mr Icke.

You're talking about him now because he went on the Russell Brand show to promote himself and his new product.

He certainly seems to do a lot of selling on his website! - books, dvds, webcasts as well as requests for donations.

Anyone planning to see him at the Brixton Academy in May? (I wont!)

The guy who installed my broadband can't be far behind . . . I got the whole Icke thing in an hour.

Fwiw, I'm surprised but I do think Icke has some messages that appeal to an awful lot of people - they're selective though, they don't evangelically swallow everything he says.

They might not be vocal but his book sales sugest people are willing to go a long way to try and find alternative answers.

That was horrible. I didn't switch over, though. I watched it until the end. And hated myself for it.

Strange thing, human nature.

He was on telly meeting Wogan again quite recently, looking back on that show. The so-called 'reconciliation' had a very bitter air about it by the end.

Was that the occasion when Wogan pushed him into making ever more outrageous statements - I recall a prediction that Cuba would sink, was that the time?

If so, then yep, it was very unpleasant and Wogan behaviour was inexcusable.

Say what you like about Icke you do have to admire the balls on the man, to go through all the public ridicule he's gone through and yet still carry on saying what he says cause he generally believes in it is, IMO, a pretty admirable quality.

Or that the backlash against Enlightenment and reason is continuing as people seek to delude themselves further rather than apply themselves to reality :(

There's a man who used to live at the end of my road who told anyone who'd listen (and anyone who wouldn't) that pigeons talked to him and were trying to kill him. I don't think admirable is the word I'm looking for when describing him.

Would it be funny if we tarred and feathered the mentally ill then paraded them down the high street? On second thoughts, don't answer that.
