The reports of his wife and mistress rejecting the double must be true - else we are left with the extraordinary scenario that neither bothered to visit him! I have my suspicions it may well have been one of his doubles - the US aren't that bothered about catching Osama these days, so it may well be that one of Saddams clones would do, for the sake of public opinion, and lets face it - if the real Saddam were alive he'd remain in hiding, powerless until his death, so it's irrelevant really.

But I didn't reach these opinions as a result of a Joe Vialls link, nor by anything posted here.

I certainly couldn't identify him from voice, and I doubt you could either editor. Regardless, you surely could put a voice difference down to the stress of living in a hole for months, although you can't do that with things like visual features.
