Anti austerity march...urb meet up?

depends on what happens at the demo
don't think people are saying not to bother but how much effort goes and money into them and they are then ignored

do you think doing a march like the weekend a year is enough? every 6 months?
I don't know!

Of course not. We're going round in circles, I think. I've already given the reasons people demonstrate several times.
We're going round in circles because people are pointing out the reasons why A to B marches are doomed to fail in their objective, if their objective is to change the reason for the A to B march. What people aren't doing though (as far as I can see) is "pooh poohing" or being dismissive of individuals marching - you've come to that erroneous conclusion yourself so no wonder the conversation keeps going round in circles.

I'm not sure I understand what objectives a march is supposed to have. To change a government's mind? Surely not. To register dissent? Yes, of course. To show solidarity to others and to bolster the determination to resist? Yes and maybe.
PS are there other kinds of marches besides 'a-b'?

a-b-a; {a,b,c,d}-e are two which leap to mind.

I thought that the objective of this particular march was "tell the new government to "End Austerity Now" https://thepeoplesassembly.nationbuilder.com/2015appeal That's what PA were/are trying to raise £60K to do, according to them.

Some marches are circular. Some go up to the top of the hill and then go down again.

this this this!!
I have asked the big wigs in Cardiff People's Assembly how marching is going to do this and they can't or won't answer. sometimes in over a 1000 words

they also post things like 'see you on the streets' which to me implied more than marching from the statue of Aneurin Bevan up the street and back again to hear the usual people saying the usual things and patting themselves in the back for it and being congratulated and inspiring etc!
I have been ridiculed and banned. They also think you have something to hide if you wear face coverings and some want to march with the police as they "are just people too" it is seriously fucking depressing.

As mentioned before, when they were pushed they advertised one as helping the homeless and said they needed 4 cars to ferry the stuff donated from their many members. They ended up with one car load and i think it was mostly noodles and socks.
In contrast, a punk gig for a foodbank had a shitload from about 30-40 people that filled half the venue

also the PA here in Cardiff is not transparent with money or decisions
and they have meetings about meetings :(
