MPs beating people up.

Perhaps if he is convicted he’d have to stand down . He could then offer himself for election again, but the local authority might not let him into the leisure centre where the ballots are tallied as a result of his conviction .

He’d be out for the count.
Meandered but got to the punchline in the end.

Very much in keeping with the right honourable fella

Nice one.

The man he attacked has been named

The man apparently punched by Mr Amesbury has now been named as 42-year-old Paul Fellows by The Times, which quoted a witness as saying that the pair had been arguing about Labour cutting the winter fuel allowance, and the temporary closure of a local bridge.

Doesn't give the most important piece of information, though: was it a constituent he beat up???

Right.

So it wasn't his previous stalker. As placed neatly at the bottom of several media articles initially, encouraging people to make a wrong link.

bbc bit here

in that piece it says that [in 2023] a man was convicted of stalking & harassing the MP at his constituency office and in Frodsham town centre.

I wondering if it's the same guy and Amesbury defended himself ?

see post #19 ...

As I said, I think it is likely that Amesbury clocked the guy who has already been convicted of stalking him. Maybe it was self-defence ?
Whether he should have thumped him, or called the fuzz ...

Short of a not guilty, this leads to a suspension and/or recall petition? If so, a well chosen Tory candidate would win the by election, unless the Farageists split the vote.

I'd imagine that, having come second on July 4th and beaten the vermin by 1k votes, the refUKers would be throwing the kitchen sink at any by-election?

Conditions to trigger recall
MPs can be recalled under three circumstances:

Conviction in the UK of any offence and sentenced or ordered to be imprisoned or detained, after all appeals have been exhausted. Note – a sentence over 12 months in jail automatically disqualifies someone from being an MP;

Suspension from the House following report and recommended sanction from the Committee on Standards for a specified period (at least 10 sitting days, or at least 14 days if sitting days are not specified);

Convicted of an offence under section 10 of the Parliamentary Standards Act 2009

I has been noted that the frog-faced-shiteing-cunt has lamped no one, in spire of multiple milkshakeings and various other well-deserved mild attacks.
Bravely bold Sir Robin Nigel rode forth from Camelot (and hid in an Edinburgh pub)
He was not afraid to die, oh, brave Sir Robin Nigel
He was not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways
Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin Nigel
