Anti austerity march...urb meet up?

again, well done for giving a shit where many don't
what do you think another march will achieve?
I would personally give money to a local grassroots campaign where you can see what they're spending it on and what they are doing
I don't want to be made homeless cos my contributions based esa ends
I don't want any vulnerable citizen suffering more.
I hope marches will be better than taking up the ring piece by cameron.
I do agree that local campaigns are good also and making a difference is also good.

One tactic is to do a count when it's raining, so some people won't be rough-sleeping at their normal pitches, or to do a count at a shelter in the afternoon, rather than when the doors are closed for the night.
Westminster have a long history of getting their street-cleansers to hose down pitches just before a count is done, and even tried to get soup kitchens etc banned.
Thanks, doing counts when rough sleepers are not about is crap and hosing down rough sleepers is also crap, both fascist slimey tactics.

I don't want any of these things to happen to you but marches are really not going to help, sorry

they might not make the government u-turn on their persecution of them, but they can give them a sense of solidarity, that others are behind and boost their confidence to fight back. why do i have to say this for a third time?

It makes them demoralised when they don't achieve their aims.

they won't make the government u turn
good that people get confidence from it, how many times should people march before the feeling of it not achieving any change for them kicks in?

i don't think people necessarily march to change, they march to demonstrate their dissatisfaction. Have you not read my earlier posts?

I take it you mean in municipal designed environments?

No. Existentialist wrote 'Peterlee' (grim new town in the North East) when he obviously meant 'Peterloo' (place in Manchester where something irrelevant happened 200 years ago). So I posted a picture of Peterlee by way of gentle mockery. It was just an attempt to inject some levity into what is an otherwise turgid thread full of middle class people indulging in virtue signalling.

Where as you're just a middle class ex RAF officer making sure everyone knows you're a cunt.

I'm not a cunt = virtue signalling. FFS what a short sighted world you live in.

one of the reasons other than simple economics that I didn't go is cos I got all paranoid about getting pushed over or hit in the stomach by OB and ending up tomlinsoned (my gut aint good for the same reasons as he) and dying from an internal bleed out. Imagine my suprise when it seems OB were on their best behaviour and barely fucked with anyone. Funny how that happens when they are outnumbered isn't it.

also, its a good day out. And whats wrong with a good day out. Is it october 1917, no, but you can wander around, look at all the pretty things and chat to people who if not perhaps like minded are at least on the same page politically. A-B marches may not change anything but fuck it- babylon didn't fall in one day.
