panpete great post but please please don't waste your money on the people's assembly, they just print leaflets, have meetings (some they charge for!) and A to B marches, they don't actually do anything

As a swappie I can honestly swear I had nothing to do with organising that meeting and charging a fiver was daft .
It tends to be a collective of arty and cultural types in Cardiff PA . To be fair they organised 5 full buses to Saturday's demo .

The numbers of rough sleepers has climbed, even though local authorities do their best to massage the numbers downward. There'll be another surge of young homeless after the next round of benefit cuts on under-25s too. Fucking murderous.

How do the local authorities massage the numbers downward, when all of these people have nowhere to go or sleep?
Some people hate sofa surfing or being tempory house guests in other peoples homes.
