i love letters like this

"so called goa trance" :D

I remember reading a letter back in the day absolutely railing at Way In My Brain, SL2 < saying it was a sign of the beginning of the end of the rave scene...something something about b-list dancehall sample what a disgrace etc...likewise someone losing their shit about 31 seconds and how dark tunnels are exactly whats ruining the rave scene etc
They may be made up but I like to think someone bothered to write a letter

I remember buying a return to the source compilation after reading about it in Muzik and thinking it sounded like my kind of thing, and it was fucking disgusting, even by my low mid-90s standards (pretty low)

Pascal FEOS is dead apparently
I've just seen this. Only 52. Cancer :(

He was massive on the early Frankfurt trance scene - Eye Q, Harthouse, etc. He started out in the 80s mixing italo, hi-NRG and EBM which turned into the Frankfurt sound. I'm still fond of that early Frankfurt trance and his bands Resistance D and Sonic Infusion were amongst the best.

RIP

:( I was well into that sound at the time - loved the Human EP on Harthouse and he did some great trancey business with Pete Namlook on Fax as Hearts Of Space - not sure how it stands up now though - oh dear I feel a Fax rabbithole coming on...

Bam Bam's first (1990) album is mostly house, but this should work itself into a 90's electro/techno set.

if anyone happens to have a 320 or above rip of Bam Bam - King Of The Underground from that album (not the 12 inch which seems a very different tune)
i would be eternally grateful

I had this Planetary Assault Systems 12 on earlier - it's all great obv, but this one is lush

(my copy is a test pressing, which - it seems - has never been offered for sale on Discogs. Maybe I should sell it and buy a house)

I wish I'd paid attention to this when it came out:

Mark Broom and Dave Hill collaborating with Ed Handley and Andy Turner of Black Dog/Plaid
It's so so good.
as is Broom and Hills' later album as Midnight Funk Association (2001, but fuck it):

Pascal FEOS is dead apparently - most of his stuff has dated very badly, but there's some beauts in there. This Resistance D track is a proper eyeball-roller

Just dug out my 12 which has this on (actually a different EP to the one pictured) letting it rip over the full system and all 4 tracks are great.

Posted this on the Belgian thread, but no doubt many have long stopped looking at that!
Can I recommend this though
