90s house

Oh it's Armand.

Just snapped that up for £3 on Discogs, "A few crackles at the start of both sides"....let's see how bad it is, worth a punt for £3.

ive never heard this B2 full vocal mix - also never knew it was Aretha! it doesnt sound like her. I think theres some confusion there (ETA yes it isnt Aretha, thats a different later 1994 mix)
Im feeling it
give it a listen - it smashes the one that charted
gets really going by 7 minutes

Yeah that's the one. Used to frequent OPEN at MoS, Fabio Paras, Underworld, Darren Emerson etc. (free tickets as was at South Bank) and that was a huge number in the bar area. Tune!

Who is he, where was that danski? I only know him as a serial YouTube uploader
We all used to live in Thanet. We all used to DJ at parties, hang out, get stoned etc but they all did the more popular events as they were more sociable/ people people than me. Can you believe I’ve always been a grump?! (also I was into more techno/underground styles)

Bumped into him a few years ago, and he told me he’d retired from djing but his last gig...

Hessle audio had contacted him and asked him to play room two at fabric on their takeover night!!!! Just based on his online presence. I believe he used to video stream as well.

Not listened to the set, didn’t know it was available. Just found it

amazing! small world that you know him.
What were the Thanet venues that parties were at back in the day?

I’ll try and answer later. Rush for work now but please enjoy...

Flip is killer too, obvs

massive tune and likewise the Ha Dance which was deservedly on that 30 tunes list above IIRC

Talking of the Bounce i really like this 2006 rework

A massive tune for me but i don’t think it was particularly big anywhere. Worth sticking with the groove because the female vocal really kicks some gurning raver arse when it happens.

Absolutely loved DeeeLites first album to bits so no idea why I never even gave the second one a listen - still havent and still not keen for some reason :D bizarre tbh

This was supposedly the biggest tune off the second album , only heard for the first time last night, really warming to it with a third listen
1992

Just to finally addressing the numerous :hmm: PM's asking me to share my wisdom of what I hinted to here...

I am, of course, referring to this:

30 (Thirty!) years old, and still bangs like nothing else, whilst swerving any notion of cheese or fatigue from overexposure.

You’re not wrong.

Crap, totally forgot about this.

There were two main, commercial clubs, Buzz and Fifth Avenue in Margate and Ramsgate respectively.
Another mate, Morphelius, used to be resident at both playing house and garage and much of what happened used to revolve around him, with him playing other events such as Juicy Tunes at Don Medi restaurant in Deal (not that I ever went). I used to play at a few bars here and there, Dukes Gallery, Pisces, Harriets and odd one off things here and there but often more underground/techno vibes.
This wasn't all concurrent. A bit of a blur tbh.

Actually, I think Mr Wood came into it a little bit later than this but not much as I believe he was at uni. I never knew him before, only from once he came back and started hanging out with Morphelius.

tune of the week at mine, cant stop playing this
classic mid 90s gospel logic, organ, big backing choir-style vocals, killer soul vocal ead, those 90s chord progressions, east coast house/garage monster
1996 - Tommy Musto on the mix (this New Birth mix is the one) - needs all 9 minutes to do its thing

Got given that^
Wasn’t massively into it but really loved the beats and was frustrated I couldn’t make mine sound the same.

Dunno if this has been posted
