World Cup Final 2023: England V Spain

Offside is still offside but it doesn't get pulled back unless the attacking team gets an advantage.

That's my understanding of it anyway.

One thing that does confuse me about the offside rule: defender passed forward to an attacker who shot but the goalkeeper parried it into the path of another attacker who scored but was given offside because she was offside when the first pass was given

Oh, FFS, the sun has chosen to come out, making the TV unwatchable, it'll have to be the laptop now.

How come we aren't playing in white?
Each team is nominally either the 'home' team or the 'away' team, so looks like we're the away team. That said, still not sure why white would have been a problem against Spain's home kit; usually it's actually not so much about colour, but 'light' vs 'dark'.

Gr on bbc because we don't get itvHD....don't want to switch to itvx!

Don't think i can watch anyway 🙈

Decent start. Game plan is clearly designed to close them down to stifle their possession game.
