It depends on how stroppy and petty UK and Spanish authorities get.

Although in theory Community citizens have rights and Non-Community ones are conceded some of the same rights, if in practice nothing changes then I probably won't become Spanish.

I suppose I won't be able to vote in some elections any more. Things like that.

If there's a lot of tit-for-tat silliness then it might be easier to be Spanish. For the moment I don't even have to do any paperwork though getting foreigners photo ID might be easier than constantly explaining that my community ID is still valid.
Theres an official paper which outlines that the previous A4, and credit card things are still valid. I have one, and can send you one if you haven't.

Have you got a TIE appointment yet? Currently, at least here in Cordoba, they are like hen's teeth. Unless you go for a general foreigner appointment rather than a UK citizen appointment.

Ive seen the official stuff. Its linked to from the UK Gov emails that we are subscribed to. La Rioja don't seem to be ready at all for dealing with the very few Brits here so Im waiting a few months

Our appointments are 2 Feb. So fingers crossed.
