West Ham 2022-23: The Road to Prague

I like the look of the people we've signed. Gonna be tough this year as the moneybags league ramps up again but if we get a few more in then I reckon we've got a decent chance of an exciting season. Same as the last two will do nicely, but maybe just going a bit further in the European competition.

I was wondering why it finishes on 7th June but its that stupid fucking world cup thing. That's gonna put the cat amongst the pigeons, will favour the clubs with big squads but no change there.

Quite emotional about this. That goal against Seville was great, likewise that last minute goal against Chelsea. He's had plenty of others too. I feel like he's doing himself down. Before he had that horrific injury he was doing really well. He's always been professional and done what's been asked of him, wish him all the best.

Yeah, I liked him. Not quite a cult hero but not a disaster either. I expect he will be well received if he ever shows up as a guest.

3-1 Rangers. I missed two of the goals waiting for a tap water at half time. West Ham started brightest, but Rangers grew into it.

Is Agreed a new signing? He made a horror mistake and then fucked himself over trying to recover and went off injured. Thought Benrahma looked dangerous at times and Bowan worked hard, but I suspect the 2,500 Hammers were a bit disappointed. Creswell getting rinsed on KUMB.

I almost accidently cheered when West Ham went forward and that would have been awkward as I stupidly wore a claret top too.

Preseason friendly loss, injury for major new signing.

Nothing changes.

Major new signing has had to have surgery.

Wouldn't like to be Scamacca around now. Must be terrified. What will it be? Rogue luggage trolley at the airport? Dodgy duty free? Maybe the windscreen of the taxi will spontaneously implode, covering him in fist sized shards of broken glass? Or, a piano falls on him from the top floor of his new house. Could be anything.

We've announced Scamacca. Not on the club website, or with a fancy Twitter video but by selling his shirt in the club shop.

Meanwhile they're doing something on Twitter where every tweet for the past eight hours has started with each letter of his name.

We are very very professional.

You seen the tackle that lead to the Injury? Completely unneeded following his first mistake.

We've announced the signing now. We spelled his name wrong.

Despite, despite! Spelling out his fucking name all fucking day! Like fucking hell West Ham!

Hahaha, now we've deleted the video so the tweets now spell out Samacct.

Amazing. We are very very professional.

3:10 here -

He obviously wanted to make up for the error but in a friendly not worth it. Sounds like it's just West Ham's luck though.

Cornet signs. Obligatory "can't wait to run out with all the bubbles!" video.

Not a great day for all our centre backs to be injured/suspended/unfit/whatever, apart from zouma. Not much news on the website. Where are Dawson and Diop?

Christ I've missed this. World's richest team buys the world's best striker and you'll never guess what happened next!

How exciting this all is.

Dont give up just yet. Think Lukaku.
Nah. I didn't put him in my Fantasy team cos I thought he'd take some time to adjust and for City to adjust to him but I'm regretting that now.

I mean, we had Ben Johnson as a centre back but even so.
