F*ck Wrexham - the 23/24 League Two Thread

After all the heroics limp home showing when we were favourites for once but Sutton deserved winners.

Yeah, definitely feels like we're NL bound now.
Mind you, Sutton now feeling slim hopes just a point ahead and a game more played, though obviously on back of two wins on the spin. Our run in is horrendous though, if we do stay up after those will have earned it.

Can't believe our performances. We beat all 3 top clubs and then get rolled over by Crawley, just can't fathom out what it is with the team that causes them to muck it up when we need consistency

A good win today, shame everyone else got a few points 😞

Another loss of points from a winning position for Grimsby. 34 points we’ve lost like that this season.

93rd minute penalty and a sending off after leading for almost 40 minutes.

Sort of hoping Colchester having to play more matches might mean they drop points but Town’s fate is in their own hands. Win a few games and we’ll be safe. But with only 4 wins since Artell joined in November the numbers don’t look good. One per month.

Back in country for first time in years and I attend the Stockport home game then flew out yesterday to miss that! Would have gone too what with youthful Crewe connection. Sounds like Garrick back up to speed, pleased for Doidge too as he works so hard with usually no one in support.

Do or die against the plastic Dons in a minute. Big ask but we seem to turn up more for the better teams. Relegation still seems the most likely though.

Bit unfortunate with how we conceded the opener but that was with MK having 90% of the possession and despite the odd flurry didn't lay a glove on a much better side. Other results keep a flicker of hope alive but we're looking done and dusted.

In contrast, a good set of results for Grimsby.
Usual pant-grindingly excruciating last 15 minutes while we do our best to throw some points but held on for what’s probably going to be a vital win.

Appropriately for the thread, bidding league football farewell by getting absolutely fucked over at the Cae Ras

From all accounts one of the best Grimsby performances of the season for a 3-0 away win.
Sees us all but mathematically safe from relegation - goal difference of 10 goals makes it very unlikely Sutton will catch up now.

So Sutton or Colchester as the other relegation candidates.

Hell of a comeback by Crewe and why football is such a mad thing, Donny going like a train to make it into the play-offs having looked relegation candidates at one point then two up from first leg away, Crewe stumbled into the play-offs in awful form, even losing three nil to us, then play out of their skins and nick it on pens.
