US House passes Obama's key healthcare reform

That's more of a BC thing.

Mount Cashel isn't in BC, for instance.

Btw, maple syrup is good for you.

real maple syrup is also full of compounds touted for their health benefits, according to a professor from the University of Rhode Island.

Navindra Seeram, an assistant professor of pharmacy who specializes in medicinal plant research, found a cocktail of 20 antioxidants in 20 litres of the sweet stuff from Quebec, including 13 never before found in maple syrup.

Idris: It might smooth out a few conjunctural problems in the short term - we'll have to wait till around 2020 to see if spending on private health care as part of GDP drops (and this of course, is connected to the state of the credit market as wages have been cut back the bone so that people reply on debt).

The underlying contradictions of private profit/public subsidy have been extended across the whole of healthcare by this bill rather then being dealt with - but those contradictions will not play out for a very long time if left alone, they're not enough to bring anything down on their own. i.e there need to be political movement generally to make those contradictions count.

Brucbricker (i think it was) made a very interesting point back on page one or two about this meaning a necessary unification of health insurers and consumers - presumably with an eye to then taking them over from the state or federal direction - which is exactly what the 2nd international socialist thought they could do with all of industry from the banks downwards at the start of the 20th century. Didn't work.

Put it on a beavertail and it's the perfect food! :D

BTW, I've been listening to a radio station in Swift Current, SK. What is the preoccupation that Canadians have with women's curling? It's all they talk aboot.

You can't judge anything about canada by something you see or hear in Swift Current Saskatewan.

Couple years ago, me and the family watched Wedding Crashers there at the local movie house. You can imagine what it was like. I laughed louder than any saskatchewan person in the whole place.

At the end, we remained seated till everybody left, so that the locals wouldn't be scandalized that we were there with teenagers. And believe me, they would have been. :)

I saw that film in Belfast. With my sister.

By putting private health insurers at the centre of health provision for evermore. I'm not being funny, but please do some fucking research before cheerleading. He's made state funded NHS models illegal. Why do you think that is?

Can you expand on that?. I didn't know that about the bill.

For a small town, they really rock out. I was looking for The Eagle in Eagle, NE online and found them instead:

Unfortunately, I'm going to miss the hobby, crafts, gun, and ammo show. I always wanted a macrame gun sling.

I have it on good authority that JC2 has an all-you-can-eat KFC buffet habit.

It's a hard to satisfy habit. The only place I ever encountered such a thing was in Lincoln Nebraska.

Probably for the best, though. :(

You know it's bad when you make your disinterested family go to Michaels, while you sit alone in KFC gorging yourself.

Uh, huh. That's why you side with the Republicans on every, single issue.

Really? Every issue?

What have we talked about on here..... I'm for Obama's position on Iraq. What do the republicans say?

Maybe you're just confused with all that's going on lately.

Of course you do, the "Tea Party." :D

No my mind's not for rent. Call that arrogance. :)

They were, however, made up of republicans and democrats. Maybe the same type democrats like the Mass. ones that voted in Brown.

They're outcasts now aren't they Tom? What's the party word?
