US election 2020 thread

Rick Santorum keeps saying "they want to fight" and then has to remember to add the bits to make it sound like they aren't going to actually fight.

I was coming round to the fact that they've just stopped bothering about the whole counting thing, but now I've got to wait for a sermon from the Jabberwocky. :(

19 minutes...

That should work for me, my freesat box is currently recording things I've set-up in advance, from 2 different channels, so no CNN or Sky News for now, although I've discovered BBC News in SD works OK, but their coverage is shite.

One of those recordings are about to end, so I'll be able to escape the BBC.

ETA - Piss head at work - bollocks another recording has just started. OK, I'll cancel 'Question Time', and catch that on iplayer instead, hic.

Suspect what he has to say will be very predictable... everyone knows I won... crooked system.... finding ballots from all sorts of places... 100% for sleepy joe!.... make no mistake, lawyers... The real question will how much he urges his lunatics on to stop the remaining counts and how nasty that gets.

Recording QT? We'll have words in the morning son. Unacceptable :D

(Just while we're waiting for stuff, I thought I'd respond to this ... )

The below was originally posted (p. 173) in the context of Tuesday elections in the US :

Must say I've come to appreciate our voting on a Thursday thing. Staying up all night and drinking too much isn't too bad when there's just Friday to get through.

For those who've taken every single Friday off since October 2012** (Fri's have been out of my contract since then!!), UK election timing is fantastic :D  :)

**Obviously, I removed them from my contract for electoral reasons only :p

But often you need the beer, etc., to be able to handle the results :(
