US Democratic Party Primaries 2019

Ugh - big wins for Biden in Michigan and Idaho as well as the more predictable Southern states, he's even running close to Sanders in Washington, where Sanders won big in every county in 2016, doesn't look like there's much hope of a Sanders comeback after this unless he somehow wins in Florida and Ohio next week.

It's over for Bernie. The party machine has done a good job producing Biden to be fair, although its problems really begin when he becomes the candidate. He is a walking disaster. To coalesce around a man with a clear degenerative mental condition is not only irresponsible its a recipe for a heavy defeat.

But the forces that have mobilised behind Sanders need to reflect on what has been achieved and where next. All of the evidence suggests that the polarisation of American politics will become more profound over the next 5 years. Sanders has politicised and energised a generation of young activists. He has built alliances that will endure. Its tasks are very similar to the ones we face here - to revive the Labour and trade union movement, to build social movements around issues like the green new deal and to defend communities and to agglomerate their resources for next time.

The approach to the coronavirus outbreak could be what decides the election, so maybe Biden should just wear a face mask for the next 8 months.

Tbf they should probably run with it, "fightin' Joe" is a much more positive image than"sleepy Joe".
Biden was correct here. The gun nut was absolutely full of shit. Another video from this prick's sewer of neckbeard loon channels.

At the very least he should be quarantined in case a voter gets to listen to him:

He was right on the gun issues involved and on being misrepresented, but there's something a bit pathetic about a 77-year-old man surrounded by Secret Service agents threatening to fight people.

Yes. It also add credence to the rumours that he has dementia unfortunately.

Biden loses his cool on the campaign trail!

‘you’re full of shit’

Biden then challenges the worker to a fight and calls him a ‘horses ass’:D

Great touch talking to the people Joe.

Is he trying to emulate Trump?

I used to live in Kansas City and I'm not the least surprised by this:

Moments after making a plea for people to get out and vote in the Missouri primary Tuesday, Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas was turned away from the polls and told he “wasn’t in the system,” the mayor said on Twitter.

Lucas tried to cast his vote before 7 a.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church at 22nd and Olive streets, where he said he has voted since 2009.

Missouri Democrats were headed to the polls Tuesday to choose a nominee for president. More than twenty names were listed on the ballots, but the chief contenders were expected to be former Vice President Joe Biden and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

When Lucas tried to vote, a poll worker searched his name using a utility bill he brought but came up empty as if Lucas wasn’t registered.

Does Henwood have form for being a deranged conspiracy theorist? Cause that's not going to happen.
No, he is musing it.

eta but then again when Mayor Pete declared himself winner of Iowa, when there are still votes to be counted in California, when the health of a candidate is so poor and the decline so rapid from 4 years ago, conspiracy does look believable.

A sweep for Biden in Florida, Illinois, and Arizona, with the primary in Ohio called off because of coronavirus - looks like Biden will now be the nominee, if there's an election in November and he's still alive, neither of which are looking as certain as they did a few months ago.

I hope he stays in as long as possible - in a time of crisis, what he's got to say is more important than ever and staying in the race will give him a bigger platform. It also delays the massive lurch to the right Biden is likely to take as soon as it's down to him and Trump.

He’ll be pressed to withdraw due to Coronavirus. ‘Irresponsible to continue in the circumstances’ etc

Sanders is shifting his campaign's efforts into fundraising for several charities that are helping with US efforts against coronavirus... So far biden has cosplayed president and has claimed to be doing a lot of behind the scenes stuff...

His recent interview with Jake Tapper from CNN was his worst to date, he kept coughing into his hand to which Tapper interjected and told Biden that he should cough into his arm/elbow - Biden said he was ok to cough as he pleased as he was at home  It’s was like watching a SNL sketch.

Biden has been chosen as the candidate to lose to Trump, he’s the thin veneer of some respectability put up front of house whilst the Democrat party is imploding.
