The Reform UK Party (latest nigel farage vehicle) is it to be laughed at or not

Yes, let's have The Great Christmas Truce. Even if it's just for one day. Merry Christmas xxx
I'd ask "what time's kick off"? But it seems like that happened quite e few days ago.
I don't really celebrate Christmas. I'm not, though, averse to hoping everyone has an enjoyable, relaxing and, above all, peaceful day. Best wishes.

I went out for a walk early morning and I saw a few homeless people sleeping in doorways or in their tents (if they're lucky). I don't think these people give a toss about derogatory terms nor a few bitter individuals on the Internet, they would kill for what we have.

I feel so blessed to have my own home, food to hand and enough money to afford to have the heating on. I completely get why anyone would want to vote for a Party that offered to improve your life, or at least provide something that other people have as a matter of course, but Reform aren't it.

Neither was leaving the EU and despite the criticisms of Labour, I hope they at least try to build bridges with them because Nige's hatred and xenophobia is not the solution.

Merry Midwinter to you and yours. ☕
Yeah, well, what have you got against the people who live on the surface of the Southern Hemisphere of the Earth? It's Mid-Summer for them, not Mid-Winter, so your comments might upset them, for those comments not only exclude them, they could also be construed as extracting the urine.

Furthermore, it is rather arrogant to tell people to be "merry".

Is this what it'll be like in the anarcho-communist society that you and your type in your radical red hats want to inflict on hard-working families? Will we be forced to express merriment, on pain of a three-day-long “self-criticism session” in a cold and bleak pre-fabricated warehouse on the outskirts of Slough?

:hmm:
What's your plan for tomorrow?
It is already tomorrow in some parts of the world, but your comment completely ignores that fact, rooted as it is in time-zonal chauvinism.

There can be no “truce” or “cessation” in the Eternal Flame War. Not true Urbanite should allow petty bourgeois sentimentality to stay their hands at “Christmas” or any other illusory high days, holidays, and festivals.

Posters: please do not post this "hands on heart" in reponse to things that I post. I am not sure what it means.
I'm pretty glad that the staff at Castle Hill put their hands on mine three years ago, otherwise I'd be posting this from beyond the grave (or in my case from a a cheap cardboard box in some god-forsaken forest).

Well, am I glad that medical people put their hands on your hearts.
The symbol has nothing to do with that, though.

Mate, we wish you a merry Christmas, but have no authority to enforce one.

Good to see you post about the refUKers in this thread, but this post reads rather like a stream of unconsciousness.

In their 2024 manifestos the main parties, at best, paid lip service to the housing crisis and all offered little more than pro-builder/landlord reforms aimed at increasing the supply of (un) affordable housing units. AFAICR there was little, in any direct reference to the homelessness; the parties are not interested in them electorally. You're right that the refUKers' are not the answer; their sole distinguishing feature being the racist notion of "prioritising local people [for social housing]...Foreign nationals must go to the back of the queue.". Aside from overtly racist voters, there was nothing in what the refUKers' offered that remotely offered an improved life. But the biggest problem here is that neither did the alternative electoral options.

As an aside, your assumption that rough-sleepers would not give a toss about derogatory terms appears very much like projection and groundless stereotyping. Similarly the fact that you feel "blessed" because you personally enjoy greater material comfort than rough sleepers appears distasteful and ill-judged.

Well, that is rather wet. You cannot even ensure that we all have merriness, and you are reduced to wishing that we have it.
These are transitional demands, comrade, a set of aspirations even, if you will. Rest assured we will struggle hard to achieve them with the the timeframe of the fifth plan.

I think I am in love with you.:D

Fuck me, haven't some of you got a racist old uncle, to get offended by and pick a fight with on Christmas Day? 😂
Anyway, back on topic, I hope Nigel Farage and his minions are enjoy Christmas TV. King Charlie banging on about how great diversity is and having a dig at the Farage rioters and a drag queen winning the Strictly come dancing Xmas special.
The missus and I enjoyed both of them and are chilling out after a lovely meal in front of Doctor Who. Merry Christmas everyone, including you pedantic bastards. 😂😍🥳
