Anything in the Murdoch press?

Disgusting. A blatant fuck you to the family. They are increasingly acting without any regard for consequences, confident that they can sail home at the next election thanks to culture wars and a forensically vapid opposition party.
Presumably certain powerful and influential people are implicated or seriously embarrassed in the report. Although - knowing patel - she may have just spiked it because she can and it tickled her sadistic psychopath muscle.

By this point, I don't think it matters. Patel knows she can do whatever she wants, she knows too much about BoJo to be removed.

Plus it's PMQs, always a good time to bury bad news under bluster and cat calls.q

Wouldn't be surprised. Or at the very least, Johnson is too incompetent to do anything about it.

They should send the thing to the papers anyway.
Someone will.

The massive flaw in this government's approach to pretty much anything is that, the more they play to their base, the larger the constituency of people grows whose sense of decency is offended by the corrupt machinations evident in everything they do. And increasingly offended by the brazen and shameless way in which the government attempts to quite transparently just suppress anything they don't like.

And, as that constituency grows to encompass more and more of the "ordinary decent people" who actually make stuff happen, rather than just shout about it, the pressure of pushback is going to grow. There's no way that someone associated with that inquiry isn't going to start seeing the idea of leaking the report as nothing less than whistleblowing...

Previous Conservative governments have flailed and legislated to silence ethical whistleblowing, but it's never going to stop.

Why would Johnson do anything about it? Suppressing stuff like this is standard practice for his government. He even suppressed a report on Patel herself, and when it eventually came out and showed that she was unfit for public office he did nothing.

Yeah the reaction to the Russia report sums it up really.
