The 6 Nations 2019 Thread

Tighter than i thought it would be. Annoyed we didnt score in that period between 60-70ish minutes. Plus Moriarty pass was forward, the try should have been scrubbed.
Obstruction and a forward pass for yours. Evens.

Gauzere was diabolical. Robbed us of all possession and kept you in it in the second half. He needs geometry lessons for the amount of blue knock-ons missed. High tackle pen wasn't, Scottish midfield offside all game and over the top at every ruck.

I never understand the figures for "metres made", like with England having made 700 odd metres while Italy has made 650 metres. How come they're not playing up in the stands behind the Italy try line? It makes no sense

Running it back from a kickoff or clearance counts as yards made. The hard yards on or beyond the gainline are the ones that count.

I will agree to your first point.

Would still be better if they ended up 50 yards behind the goal line though - more in keeping with the origins of the game.

That Scottish game was squeaky bum time. Half time I was texting bendeus and we were both predicting double point winning scorelines.

Yes Wales appeared to go to sleep second half. I thought Scotland were pretty good in attack and they play with that same spirit against England this could be a shock defeat for England. We can live and dream eh.

Wales first half provided a solid workman like performance. I definitely agreed with parkes mom. He wS punching some. Pretty big holes in that defence. First Welsh try was sublime.

I'm still fairly confident for next week. But it won't be easy. Things that will win us the match. The ariel battle. (Liam is OK I've read elsewhere). Our defence. And psychological all the other stuff. Home crowd. Gatlands last 6N with Wales. Slam on the table.

Wales by 8 points. You heard it here first.

Quick question for the stupid (me).

Wales narrowly win their last game. England romp theirs with a bonus point, better points difference.

Does head to head count first, i.e. can Wales win the grand slam but lose the actual championship?

I have to say that the national anthems before the scotland wales game were the first I've not actively avoided for several years and I found them quite moving.

Three extra points for grand slam. So wales take it automatically.
But if, for example, we drew vs. Ireland and England, as expected, beat Scotland we'd lose the championship even though we would be undefeated. I'm still very dubious about BPs in the 6n to be honest.

I see Steve walsh has found another body to inhabit.

ETA just glad that Clerc isn’t playing.
