Someone slags you off like mad on any number of threads, you encounter them somewhere else and understandably respond to them in a hostile manner, and people call it an unprovoked attack.

well I don't know if this latest labour front has been going long enough to have a 'history' like. But regardless of language used I'd be looking very askance at a set up that allows the TPA in to chat their shit. Thats before we get to the 'usual suspects' stuff

The problem with being "the peoples'..." anything is the need for funding. That they've filled part of their funding gap with TPA money shows that they're either:
a) complicit in the same neoliberal cockery as the TPA themselves, or
b) are as naive as fuck, and will be eaten alive.

Either way, giving them support appears to be backing a three-legged horse in terms of realising the aspirations of the majority of "the people".

IIRC this was partly about AW being unwilling to accept that atheism is effectively a belief system just like the religions some of its' adherents attack, and partly because he couldn't get a handle on the whole "magick and psychology are the same thing in different guises" schtick that many people (both initiates and academics of the subject) adhere to.
