It looks like time is running out to get a Power Sharing Governmet up and running looks set to fail by midnight and new Elections look more and more likely?

The DUP have said they will not take their place in a Power sharing Government because they have concerns about the Northern Ireland Protocol?

Will there be a Power Sharing Government by midnight tonight or will there be fresh Elections in Northern Ireland and will the DUP be second or has their time come and gone?

This won't be a pleasant election. As ever with Norn Iron, opinions are entrenched and even if parties under-nominate in the right constituencies, there will still be DUP and SF as the top two and the former will refuse to allow the latter to nominate First Minister. Brexit and the Irish Sea border won't go away, and as it won't, the Assembly won't get going again.

I suspect you’re right but an election may see the alliance shave more votes off the DUP. Middle class unionism wants a functioning assembly so given that the DUP have engineered this crisis they may be made to pay.
