Nail bomb in Tipton

no casualties ccording to police - BBC5L saying it placed in/near a Mosque, and detonated at a time when normally there would have been people in/around the Mosque - however due to Ramadan, prayer timings have changed, so there was nobody about.

:( My old home, I love Tipton, a lot of right wing activity when I was there, pubs you'd never go near.

And there's been two other attempts.

"West Midlands police are still investigating an explosion which occurred near a mosque in the Caldmore area of Walsall on 21 June.
The remains of a homemade explosive device were found on 22 June in an alleyway adjoining the Aisha mosque and Islamic centre in Rutter Street, Caldmore."

Be happy for crap terrorists its only a pity they were not a bit crappier and set the bomb off when they were planting it.

Except the purpose of letting off devices like this isn't necessarily to physically hurt people.

Words of comfort to the victims of the fascist nail bomber who planted a device in the Admiral Duncan pub?

It's more luck than design that no-one was injured today. Ignorance of how Ramadan prayer times differ from the normal Friday prayers at other times of the year appears to have added to the luck of the intended targets and the apparent incompetence of the would-be terrorist.

There was that incident in Liverpool the other week too. Very worrying to say the least.

Strange, there's been a terrorist attack in this country and a fire on an unmanned plane is the main news story on the BBC? Even the Daily Mail has "Terror in Tipton" splashed across the top of its website (as do the other right wing news papers). Then I go to the Guardian and they have Snowden as the top story, and the Independent has some shit about the CIA using Harry Potter to torture someone as their main headline. I would have thought the right wing news would be playing down this attack and the left wing news would be lauding it up...have I missed something here?

you don't know what 'to laud' something is.

it means to praise it. why do you think left wing papers should be praising this incident?
