Liverpool bomb incident 14/11/21

Err, no one swims here.

No but some drown trying.

And in the migrant jungles of Europe it's common practice for police and/or nazis to destroy people's possessions. If your papers aren't in your pocket at all times, there's a good chance you'll lose them. Assuming you had any papers in the first place.

No but some drown trying.

Yes, some drown trying, despite the efforts of Border Force and the RNLI doing their best to save lives.

Whereas the French authorities are happy to stand-by and watch the boats setting off from their beaches, then shadowing them until they safely cross into UK waters, thus aiding & abetting the criminal gangs making a fortune from the poor sods.

The same French authorities who are funded by the UK government, yes.

I believe the French seize about a fifth of the boats, and they shadow other boats in case they get into difficulty, because there's nothing they can legally do to stop them once they set off.

More likely he cynically became a convert to improve his asylum chances similarly to how prisoners suddenly find god if it might speed up parole.

Lovely EU policies. Should've voted Remain.

BIB - of course they can, the boats are overloaded and therefore unsafe, and the French not only have the legal right to deal with them on that basis, but a moral duty to do so, this illegal and dangerous trade needs to be stopped, and that can only happen on the French side of the channel.

* Yes, I believe we should take our fair share, via legal methods. I also believe if the boot was on the other foot, the UK would be doing the same, but it isn't, and an increasing number of people are going to die, if the situation isn't brought under control. :(

If increasing both state surveillance/control and antagonism between groups within society are goals for the likes of Ehmad, then he seems to be doing well. Grimly.

The main problem is there isn't a legal way to enter the UK. The government knows this and cynically allows it to continue so they can say people are entering illegally. Pushing people into a catch 22, massively dangerous situation where they are desperate enough to get on the boats.

It was fucking obvious after Brexit that Channel crossings would become more of an issue.

Anyway, this is all off topic, because it's unlikely this cunt came by boat in 2014, when the majority of illegal immigrants came via the Channel Tunnel, crossing by boats only really started in 2018., and even then it was estimated to be under 500 in that year.

Could easily have come by boat, altho of a larger size than a dinghy or kayak. You do know ferries criss-cross the channel, don't you? In a lorry from Calais or Zeebrugge or Ostend perhaps

Well, yes, but that's not what was being discussed. Besides the correct term for large boats carrying lorries, is 'ships'.

Haven't we reached the 'its all our fault for not giving him a free house in the country" point yet? ...slackers
