Millwall fans conform with stereotype shocker ....

Here is what he was filming, makes him look even weirder.

What must occur in your life for you to behave like that as a full grown man?

I'm quite pleased I've taken the sporty forums off ignore now. They're mostly very dull, but Millwall seams to be able to deliver.

some anti-catholic, anti-irish abuse into the mix.

Mcleans party trick is to get as close as he can to the touchline and lift his shorts to display his tattoo to fans to antagonise and get a reaction. He gets the reaction that he sets out to get and knows full that it never fails. He then cries wolf and plays the victim card. It's a regular occurrence.

victim blaming and "cry wolf" niiiice ex(cuse)planation!
Yep. He plays the same trick everywhere he plays and then acts the innocent. If he didn't go to the crowd, pull his shorts up to display his tattoo for the sole reason to antagonise and get a reaction he wouldn't get the abuse that he brings on himself. I'm not surprised that it's you sticking your orr in and expressing your faux concern. What is he doing if he's not crying wolf and claiming he's the victim of abuse? He purposely does what he does time and time again and gets the same response from fans at every club he does it yet he continues to do it whilst complaining about the abuse he gets. Why do you think he exposes that tattoo to fans? What is the purpose of what he's doing? He was abused by fans of a club he was playing for because he pulled the same stunt. If he was a protestant you wouldn't give a fuck you snide, nasty, hypocrite. There's no excuses or attempts to justify the abuse he gets coming from me i'm stating facts. Facts that are widely reported and a repetition of the last time he made the news. Coincidence is it? Is it just a coincidence that there was crowd trouble and abuse of McClean the previous week at another ground because he did exactly the same thing that he's done everywhere he goes-flashes the tattoo to get the reaction he seeks.

more anger, victim blaming and some abuse for me, nice, care to back up the bold?

Being shown a tattoo would not make me sing "fuck the pope" but that's just me.
I think most fans would react the same. Flashing the tattoo is stupid - the guy sounds like a right dick - but bursting into anti Irish songs is just weird.

...an independent Regulatory Commission has imposed an action plan and formal warning upon Millwall for breaching FA Rule E21.

Despite the chants being found to have had menacing 'express or implied reference to religion', the club was not fined.

Instead, they have been threatened with 'a very significant financial penalty' should any similar incidents happen again.

Care to explain these few things below which you conveniently by passed but are fair and relevant ? If you want to have a debate fine. I'm not interested in your smarmy digs, shit stirring or trying to twist/ willfully misinterpret what i've typed.

Now back on subject.

Why do you think he exposes that tattoo to fans?

What is the purpose of what he's doing?

Why does he do it nearly everywhere and week he plays?

What's your opinion of this below and do you think it's going help stop the abuse he gets by putting it on twitter?

If you're not willing to answer then i have no interest or reason to respond to anymore of your posts.

No. You don't set the rules. You haven''t addressed my post which came before yours. I look forward to your well thought out response. There's no time limit either :rolleyes::rolleyes:
So you in your aggressive entitled abusive arrogance think you set the rules! right gotcha
Carry on spitting your dummy, careful not to bust a blood vessel now

but bursting into anti Irish songs is just weird.
I agree although I think they are more anti ira than irish. Standard generic nonsense that'll be repeated at many grounds. I find both McCleans and the fans behaviour embarrassing, infantile and something that should be confined to the past. As i've written on other threads re facists and racists i'm the son of irish parents that had to endure all that shit in 1980's London. It sickens and saddens me to witness that pile of divisive and rancid old shit again.

I think James McLean is a bit of a dick to be honest (the history lesson thing was stupid) but to say he does this every week is not true - at least in my experience. I've seen him play against my team (SWFC) several times, and i've heard his name booed when the teams are announced, I've heard him being booed and abused when coming on a sub and when taking throw ins, corners etc. I have not seen him react in any way. I'm not saying he hasn't done it at all elsewhere by the way.

So what comes first - the abuse or the 'provocation'? It all started when he said he wouldn't wear a poppy. And why should pointing to a tattoo lead to abuse from the crowd anyway - as ever, when an Irish person makes a statement that British/English people find difficult to deal with they get labelled as provocative and being at fault.

And being either Catholic or Protestant has nothing to do with this.

And why should pointing to a tattoo lead to abuse from the crowd
I explained up thread what his party trick is. The tattoo is covered by his shorts. When he's been a sub and warming up on the touchline he has this terrible habit of racing the crowd a matter of yards away. He then rolls up the leg of his shorts to display his tattoo to the crowdwhich i believe is a free derry design. So baring that in mind and with the history between the two countries i don't think he's undercovering it and displaying it on a football pitch for the instagram brigade or as a gesture of respect.! What do you think?

It seems to be reciprocal, Either either from the two experiences i saw at the ground.

I get what you're trying to explain. My take on it is - he started getting abuse from crowds when he initially (10 years ago or so?) said he didn't want to wear a poppy on his kit because of his background and what the British army did in Derry (his home town). The press and dickheads in football grounds gave him stick for this across the season eventually rather than just in the run up to November 11 - at some point he responded by showing his tattoo.

My point is that I don't think he does this 'all the time', that he has done it after being abused by crowd members and that also - why should showing or pointing to a tattoo that says Free Derry rile people up? It's a statement of opinion I guess - it says a lot about the people that get angry about it that simply pointing it out has that effect on them.
