There are less double gameweek fixtures expected on paper this season due to changes in cup game schedules, unless weather or other events cause unexpected doubles. There is also an extra chip that we dont know the details of yet, for use in the second half of the season.Gonna save any wild card and bench boost until a double game week.
As for wildcards, there are two and the first one has to be used in the first half of the season. And doubles dont usually happen much in the first half of the season, not unless there are unforseen events.
Combinations of the above mean that an earlier than usual use of the first wildcard is more popular this season. Many people are targetting this international break, others are trying to hang on till around gameweek 6 when there is a fixture swing in terms of things like Arsenal having more attractive fixtures and Liverpools fixtures becoming a bit less attractive.
