Laurence Fox. The twat.

Vogue:

One imagines – actually scratch that, perhaps one can’t imagine – how hard the situation must be on her; to be coparenting a 15- and an 11-year-old with someone who in the days after we meet, in the most recent twist of a long and sorry tale, will lose a libel case at the High Court against a former Stonewall trustee and a drag artist he called paedophiles on the internet (in return one had called him a racist: an accusation the court had no quibble with).

....But how do you go about coparenting in a situation like this? “With enormous difficulty,” replies Billie, solemnly

Fox: (1,000-word rant on social media about how evil she is and how undifficult he is)

I'd lay money on the 50-50 custody arrangement and the "no judge has ever agreed I was abusive" shit being an outright lie, albeit one he possibly j has convinced himself of, same as he left court after having conclusively lost his racism libel case claiming that he'd won.

If she didn't report the abuse at the time*, the family court judge probably isn't likely to say "it definitely happened/didn't" anyway. Fox probably knows this, but it sounds like something that has legs with the kind of people likely to take him seriously.

*To be clear, no judgement from me if that's the case.

We've all seen the sausage and chips.

Yes. And the thing is, that's not the worst meal for a knackered single parent to throw together on a busy working day, especially if they're on a low income (obviously Fox is none of those things except a parent), but nobody would ever present it as "look how fantastic a parent I am for not letting my children starve." It's very very basic, and if he sees that as up to the level of boasting about then what the fuck is he feeding them on bad days?

Bullshit. He's totally DARVO-ing. Billie's made it clear she doesn't want to talk about him and wants as little to do with him as possible. I do not think Fox is the victim here with his track record. Plus he's playing to his right-wing MRA fans. Remember this is the guy who posted the 'hard times make strong men' quote. He's appealing to a certain audience.
(I had to google so others might be curious)

Who cares so much about women's rights that he encouraged his followers to brigade a DV helpline because it offered services to Muslim women.
Sorry, Lotte you must be hip/young (or at least compared to the average Urbanite) as I had to look up another thing:
“Brigading: the practice of organizing or participating in a coordinated campaign of online harassment against a targeted individual or group, especially on social media”

Sounds a lot like Lance Armstrong saying he never tested positive

Imagine. Imagine you had had kids with that man. Fucking hell.
Aye, must be brutal and incredibly tough to navigate.

Imagine being the kids of that man, too. Particularly given they've been having to deal with all this while still young (if my scant grasp on the facts is correct? :hmm: ), and all his... stuff is so very public. They'll presumably have some sense of what others say about him.

They still go round his house, so clearly have some relationship with him, but lord knows how they even begin to process and feel about all of that.

I read somewhere earlier that boys in school have been attacking their mums for having jobs, content taken directly from the Tate textbook.
So would they prefer living in poverty because there isn't enough money coming into the house?

It genuinely frightens me how many boys, and not just teenagers, have internalised Tate's crap. We're going to have more Plymouth shooters if this carries on.

So would they prefer living in poverty then?
I imagine they would prefer having fathers who were 'man' enough to support 'their' woman. ETA: financially.
Indeed in many cases I imagine their resentment, expressed or not, would be even greater towards their father, than towards their mother, who is of course a 'mere woman'.
