Italy v Uruguay (Group D) Tuesday 24th June 2014

The fact that Suarez spends the next two minutes holding his buck teeth in pain is, in my opinion, additional evidence.
I thought that was him committing to the idea he was elbowed? To be fair, Chialini does swing an arm, but most of us would if we'd just been bitten!

Banned for life! I think a ban is in order but forever?
Yeah Who wants to ban forever?

Isn't that in the ball park of OCD or tourettes type psychological disorders?
I dunno, I think he's just a dirty, cheating fucker and that's a particular 'move' of his. Other players might leave a leg in, grab a bit of something; as I said upthread Suarez also has a history of raking the back of someone's legs.

I think the Italians should surround him & kick the fuck out of the tosser.

How can you let someone who has a strange perversion for biting play?

I'm not in favour of a lifetime ban but he needs a long ban from all football and then told when he comes back that's it if he does it again.

A life ban is never gonna happen so nonsense to even mention it. Compared to Pepe he is pretty tame, nasty and stupid but not half as bad.

I don't think he can be 'banned from all football' after an incident in this tournament. Maybe wrong though?

Don't see why not? It's FIFA after all. Can they override national FAs?

Okay ban him for ten years. Where does that leave him?

Pepe GBH-ed a Getafe player.

Do you think Suárez was thinking "No-one's watching, Ii'll probably get away with this"?

Yup. What goes on on on international tour stays on international tour doesn't it? Can't wait for the Bitters to start frothing over this one :D

Like I said I am not sure. Check the rules. If he elbowed someone in the face (deliberately and off the ball) and broke their nose he would get a world cup ban but it would not carry over to the league I think?

Quite. Pretty conclusive too.

ITV are playing it up a bit, but his reaction after the match certainly suggests he knows he's in trouble.

Heh, that hadn't occurred to me, but Uruguay's goalscorer, Godin, shouldn't have been playing either as he should have been sent off against England and so missed this Italy game.
