Is Elon Musk the greatest visionary or the greatest snake oil salesman of our age?

Ignorance on the origins of a meme is one thing, but how does that make Musk anti-semtic?

And even given the origins of the meme, even if Musk knew those origins, if the meme points the fingers of blame away from Jews but towards the EU, how is that a problem?

The EU is a massive threat to everyone's freedom of speech if they get their way.

Misinformation isn't cool, but you know what? The best way to counter lies is the truth, a whole load of truth and to keep re-iterating the importance of critical thinking.

State censorship is bad news for everyone, including even the politicians that think it's such a wonderful thing.
I never suggested (the facepalm emoj should be a clue) and nor did the person who tweeted the image that Musk himself is antisemitic though he may be. Stupid and ill-informed, certainly though. I see you have shoe-horned one of your favourite hobby-horses, the EU into your dare I call it, critique. Bravo.

You know Musk obeyed Turkey and withdrew the ability of Turkish based Twitter users to criticises the government

Musk is all about free speech as long as he’s the one being listened to

“I’m going to take Twitter out of Europe because they asked me to stop lying and spreading antisemitism and moderate my platform”

Vs

“Yes sir Mr Erdogan, we can’t have people criticising your government and Twitter will do what you ask”

I'd be super relaxed about the absolute collapse of Twitter at the hands of the EU at this point tbh. Musk has publicly stripped out its semi-useful function as a place where dissent can be organised, so increasingly it has very little to offer that can't be replicated or bettered elsewhere.

And I mean fuck even Facebook isn't overtly boosting Ron 'hate women and gays' DeSantis as part of its USP.

He knows what he's doing, as do you am sure.

As he did with his support for Scott Adams.

Scott Adams should not have said what he said. I listened to it carefully on YouTube, the most charitable thing I can say, is that his language was clumbsy and ill thought out ... but then again, it's downright racist.

Musk didn't back Scott Adams, no matter how much woke media outlets like the Guardian says that he did. He critisized the media by saying the media is racist. My understanding is that Musk believes the media has double standards when it comes to race.

If you believe in Critical Race Theory, which you would if you support Marxism, you would believe that Black and White people should be treated differently, to bring about racial equity.

Those that don't believe in critical race theory, don't believe in racial equity, just equality of opportunity.

It's a divisive issue (unfortunatly) because each side thinks the other side is supporting racist (intentionally or not) for different reasons. That is what this is all really about. Not about the content of what Scott Adams has been saying.

Musk's mistake was not to critisize Scott Adams for what he said, when he complained about the media.

He would simply re-double his efforts to decentralise twitter so that no government can sensor it. I hope he does.

We all need to be prepared for an internet where free speech rules. We will arrive at a point where society decides what is acceptable or not.

There will be enough decentralised resources to go after child porn, but there won't be leaked US govt documents or compromising photos of politicians.

Stopped reading at "woke".

It’s none of those things, and you don’t even know what it says.
It is. It's just a way of trying to get Black people to buy into helping Marxists seize the means of production.

A well crafted and divisive theory that can fool many in the United States, but doesn't work so well in Europe and certaintly won't work with hard working Asians who are well and truely loving free enterprise.

But what IS the theory?

You have literally no idea what it says. You know you don’t like it because angry Americans who also don’t know what it says have told you to not like it. But you don’t know what it is.

Critical Race Theory is actually pretty mainstream in Europe, by the way, although it often goes by different names or is absorbed into wider critical models.
