Include Salmond in the BBC election debate?

so does the Pirate Party.
Indeed, but they aren't the party of government in Scotland. Scotland has four main parties, and the Lib Dems are often the third party behind SNP. This is being beamed into Scottish living rooms, but the second largest party in Scotland isn't being seen.

I don't know how it should be resolved, but I can see the issue.

No, in addition to.

There have been any number of additional debates held DLR.

Even the health minister and shadows had a debate today.

The chancellor and shadows have had a couple.

If BBC Scotland organised a regional debate- the politicians would come.

the whole idea of the debates is bollocks, to be honest. Probably they should have had three different set ups. Brown v Cameron in round one (as they're the ones overwhelmingly likely to become the next PM), let the liberals in the second (as they are, sadly, undoubtedly the third party), and then the third one should include any party with an MP (sorry Greens, fuck off UKIP/BNP). They're all just a further debasement of an already very debased system

Tbf I think Gordon has cemented himself onto tomorrow's front pages :)

But I should think the result of a Scotland debate would be on the front pages of regional editions of national papers.

I don't.

We're being forced into a US style of electioneering. Controlled invites, controlled audiences, controlled questions.

The Scottish people are perfectly entitled to have the SNP, as the ruling party, involved in these 'debates'. As are the Welsh, English and NI people too.

All 3 English parties are ganging up against the others....Plaid is being ignored as well.

They are forcing the debate into places and on the subjects they agree to have them. I don't normally swear in political threads, it's negative...but they can fuck right off with this.

I'm the very definition of a floating voter...I've voted tory, (once, I was young,) labour, green, socialist and snp in local/national and euro elections in my time....I don't forget when I'm shafted.

They are trying to protect the result of the election, the same cunts every time.
