Hot upcoming gigs

I would get in there quick cos that line-up for a tenner on a dull January Saturday night will probably sell out fast.
Yeah, I might do that.

I have an aversion to buying anarchist punk tickets weeks in advance (or any band tix) . It smacks of "not exactly anarchist" . But, yeah, I get that cash up front helps bands and venues.

I wouldn't be surprised if some tickets were held back for the night but not sure how these things work anymore. :D

Wow, that is hot of the press; the band haven't even announced it. Seems the "Reasons" was Palestine.

Great band, would definitely recommend seeing them if you can! Glad I didn't get tickets for that tour, cos I probably would've been going for SI more than SM really.

Turns out Camera Obscura are doing a reunion tour:

they were really stunning, more so than last time... felt like v special event, they were clearly loving it too... it felt like they were a band about to be absolutley huge, but I guess that is unlikely, but slightly more likely than the last time I saw them when it was punk noise/techno, whereas now they have a lot have amazing melodies too and the singer's amazing voice is being used fully.

still for home listening I'm sticking with Ruth's solo project, this new one is a really beautiful torch song type collection rather than bathhouse techno:

really lucky that my friend's label is putting out lots of my actualy favourite music being released at the moment

Yep - much as I dislike ticketing agencies , credit to Dice that it allows you to waitlist for returns and then gives you a 60 minute window to snaffle them.

The band seem to be on a bit of a trajectory in that last I saw them was at the Railway in Tulse Hill

'80's Paisley Underground stars Rain Parade are back! Again, apparently they did a bit of stuff five years ago. But it's a proper album and tour this time

The Astronauts posted a warning on FB about tickets selling fast, so I got a ticket now. Probably means there's a couple of hundred left!
