Gigs you went to in 2023 - list them here

Bugger, wish I'd known this one was on, would've been good seeing them again. Ah well, was a busy year anyway. Did you say you'd seen Brorblab at Fuel as well? And is that actually two separate Dawn Ray'd gigs at TWH? Fair enough for making the most of them while you can if so.

Yea Dawn Ray'd headline and support with Ragana/D+D. Glad I got to see them, since they've called it a day. I met the guitarist on a DMT study I did last year.

Oh yea forgot about Brorlab. Beau Mec are one of my favourite Manchester bands atm but won't do so many shows since they're all over the country now.

Just three at Cafe Oto.

Hans Joachim Roedelius playing minimal solo piano.
A loud raucous improvised set from Otomo Yoshihide / Chris Pitsiokos / John Edwards / Steve Noble
Éliane Radigue's Occam XXVI performed by Dominc Lash + Occam XVII performed by Enrico Malatesta. Ultra minimalist drone and totally fascinating.

Henge in Nottingham

Karnivool at Leeds University.

Roy Ayers at Shepards Bush Empire. He barely played an hour and looked like he was gonna drop dead at any moment. Poor bloke.

Porcupine Tree in Manchester.

The Cult & The Mission in Scarborough

Fred Wesley in Manchester blues kitchen which was an amazing night out.

There was also a few mates bands and my own band played 4 gigs this year. So hopefully more of everything in 2024.

Mary Wallopers - electric ballroom
Dropkicks Murphys - Wembley
Mary wallopers again - kentish Town Forum
Paul Weller- thetford forest
Black keys - Islington assembly halls
The Reytons - kentish Town again
CMAT - at a shit venue in Brighton
Friendly fires - the troxy
