Perhaps two years stuck inside contemplating the world will have made people more considerate.I'm sure that on the Monday and following days after, there'll be some truly disgusting sights to be seen , but after the 2019 Festival, there were at least some signs of improvement, at least in some areas.
We had our Info Crew Training on Sunday (22/5)
This was in Zoom form, and I have to say that on-line training (for our first ever time!) turned out to be far more boring than the trad face-to-face training we'd been used to ahead of previous Glastonburies!
ETA : They banged on about Covid to an over-lengthy extent IMO (and esppecially in festivaldeb's O! ), which given that Covid-restrictions will actually be quite limited at Glastonbury 2022 (to my surpise!), did become somewhat tedious!
Otherwise, it seems that remarkably little has changed, site-lay-out-wise and generally
Biggest two :
1. For Arcadia, The Spider! will be back! -- apparantly the logistics, etc., of bringing 2019's Crane back were too troublesome, but we weren't told any other details
2. BBC Introducing will not be in Silver Hayes any more -- they've moved it to a stretch not far below Left Field, heading down towards Pyramid/Cider Bus area.
Struggling to think of any more significant (or any!) chamges around the public areas, although I'm sure some Market details, etc, will have altered.
For 'Orange Camping' (Dairy Ground), (staff/crew/volunteers), some Stewarding crews have been moved away from there to outside the Fence.
We (info Crew) have been allocated a slightly larger crew-camping areas, right at the top of Orange Camping, very near Vehicle Gate 4 and to Pedestrian Gate D ( I think that's right! ). We're not sharing with Property Lock-Up crew any more, though .....
If I remember anything else, I'll post that soon, but for now, just assume that Glastonbury 2022 will be near-identical infrastructurally, to Glastonbury 2019!
The weather will surely be as good as well
Sorry, yes!! -- there aren't that many changes, but those there are, are much more important than I remembered to post above!First aid tents no longer located at Silver Hayes and Greenfields.
West Campervan area replaced with a pre-erected glamping area inside the Superfence called Sticklinch and close to PGD.
All campervan areas are now located at the traditional East camping area and Bath and West Showground. A shuttle bus runs from the latter.
The Wateraid kiosks are being replaced by water bars. Not sure what the difference is, mind.
I've seen comments from other volunteer groups saying that their camp sites are also moving to outside the fence this year, they are not happy. We had our Info Crew Training on Sunday (22/5)

I have no comment on 1. On 2 I saw PSB last week at the O2 and they were absolutely banging so that would be my advice. It's happening!!!!!!
The crucial questions:
1. Is it worth seeing Paul McCartney just for Hey Jude?
2. Kendrick Lamarr or Pet Shop Boys?
