Dear Festival Info applicant,

We are pleased to tell you that your application to volunteer on Festival Information at Glastonbury 2022 has been successful.
Please remember that it is a condition of volunteering that you attend one of our training sessions.
[various other information]
Yayhay!, Wahay!, Yibble!, etc.etc. etc. :) :) :D :p   :weed:  x 100!!!

Our Info Training is to be at 4 pm ONLINE, on Sunday 22nd May (we'll confirm our date choice to them very soon).

I predict a fair few site, venue and festival changes after so long! Will report back :)

Good luck to anyone still seeking work, or still trying to source tickets ... :)

Hoorah! That's awesome news! Now you're officially info crew again, can you tell me if I'll be allowed to take my own booze into the arena this year?

Bah - my crewing spot (quite likely now) falling through is now causing me an expensive, logistical nightmare.

My plan was to head down the weekend before and get onsite early.

As it is, I'm now looking at various alternative options:
Coach is from home £85 for a single, only departs on the Wednesday morning and takes 8 hours. I wouldn't arrive onsite until 4pm.

My other options are travelling to Bristol on the Tuesday night (either flying or train), staying overnight in Bristol and getting the coach from Bristol bus station on the Wednesday morning. I've priced this up and on top of the cost to travel there (which I know I'll have to pay for), the cheapest overnight stay in Bristol is - £110!

FFS!

Some pretty good must-not-miss acts on that Avalon poster I reckon! :)

Riff : I've only just properly seen your post just above. I really hope you're able to work something out for Bristol that doesn't completely clean you out!

Good luck! :)

Riff for one night in Bristol have you thought of an overnight in the Youth Hostel, @ £30.

In other news, I literally only recognise Fatboy Slim and Dame Sarah Storey on this line-up:

I was very glad to hear the other day that our mate Sam, here in Swansea, got herself an Ocfam stewarding job at Glastonbury this year, when Oxfam rerleased a (final?) tranche of stewarding places on the Wednesday just gone :)

(thanks for your earlier advice/information with this, wiskey :) )

She's done Oxfam-ing work in several previous years, that may have helped. And she was literally desparate to come to Pilton Pop 2022!!! :D
