what someone needs to do is start an alternative countercultural zone on the fringes of the site and call it Pilton Festival

Enjoyed Robert Plant and Alison Krauss last night. What a beautiful voice she has. I liked "When The Levee Breaks" with that Arabic-sounding thing going on at the end.

Arlo Parks was ace, too.

Hope the rains keep away from you all today.

Yes. I watched Plant and Krauss on the television last night. Thought it was atmospheric and creative, and the whole line up sweated musicianship. What I liked was that it wasn’t simply Zeppelin crowd pleasing covers, but an uncompromising presentation of lovely music performed with affection and skill.
I love Led Zep by the way.

Yep. Good choice of Led Zep songs for that band too. Swampy, bluegrassy versions of stuff you know really well. Battle of Evermore was really good with Alison Krauss doing the harmonies.

In an argument with a mate over Billy Eilish. He says she was miming and i think she wasn’t. Can anyone confirm I’m correct and my mate is a twat?

Both. She was singing over tracks which included vocals - sometimes harmonies, sometimes run through about 74 layers of effects, sometimes just the original vocals.

The biggest clue was when the microphone was being pointed at the crowd, yet the main vocal carried on. But yes, she was singing live.

She told them to take the vocal track out at one point. Which was a bit weird.

There's quite a lot of "tracking" that goes on these days, especially as the cost of taking a big band on tour is prohibitive... For example rather than have three backing vocalists (as used to be quite standard) bvs often get pre recorded and played back now. Ive never heard it happen but there must be times an act loses their place in the song and that stuff goes out of sync!

Confidence Man are great fun on the old iPlayer at the mo. Park Stage.

Liberally sprinkled with old house vibes.
Confidence Man were excellent. The second they walked on stage in their stupid great big suits they won me over. They put on a great show - the choreography (vogueing!), the costumes (I proper laughed when she came back on in that dress with the flashing conical breasts) and the early 90s dance pop vibes of the music (piano house!).

After watching Jesus & Mary Chain (who were much lower energy than when i saw them 30 years ago) and good but more low energy performances from Khruangbin and Green Tea Peng they were the highlight of Friday's TV coverage.

My (lovely) neighbours borrowed their parents motor home and went to Glastonbury.
I think I might go again if I had a really good set up - with a shower etc.

As danny la rouge pointed out earlier, it can be difficult as one gets older and has health and mobility issues. Glastonbury is great but hard work and not always relaxing.

I really enjoyed watching it on TV and not having to worry about basics such as toileting and food.....but at the same time I am missing the opportunity to just wander with out a plan and see what happens.
