He definitely gets a persecution complex whenever things aren’t going his way. Whether it’s the team strategy, the tyres, the wind, there is always something to complain about. Not a very becoming characteristic, but if it’s part of his emotional makeup then maybe it’s partly responsible for the good performances he turns in most of the time. Maybe he draws motivation from it.
