F1 2019

Looking at the replays, and seeing how Max stuck to the racing line consistently round the bend, I think that if anyone deserves a penalty, it's Isaac Newton. Him and his bloody Laws of Motion.

Off to Silverstone in two weeks where there should be news of a contract extension or not. Interesting to read that the Mayor of Londons office and Liberty appear to have some sort of working group looking at a London race. Formula E are racing there next year I believe.

For sure Silverstone will now have added a "London Race" clause into any contract, while Silverstone is almost always a sold-out race, I don't think the UK can have two races with full crowds.

Leclerc also appeared to turn his wheel to the left around the apex, he'll argue that was to avoid an accident but also meant he would be hanging out at the end of corner anyway. Difficult decision for the stewards, but I'd go with no further action, but I'm a little biased maybe:p

It wouldn’t put it past them to offer the London race for free to spectators, balloted or something obviously for H&S purposes but a very good way of getting what will be a much needed way of getting tourism into London in a post brexit world.

McLaren pulling ahead of Renault their engine supplier, I feel changes may be coming with-in the leadership of the F1 team if they don't catch them by seasons end

It's official.

F1 is no longer about racing cars and skill.

It's about regulations, rules, judgement and armchair reviews.

Fuck those stewards. Fuck their decision. Fuck the FIA - because why not. And fuck Liberty Media - because they'll asking themselves if they can have a stewards' review every week to boost the drama.
