F1 2016

The team must have the very best race strategists, drivers with racing instinct, and top operatives in the garage, but they do keep dropping the ball.
Loosing James Allison did them a lot of harm I believe, I don't see any in the team now who can take over

We are 12 hours behind Malaysia and the race time there is 3pm

This from Formula1.com set to my local time
Malaysia GP.jpg

No, 30th October.

The Malaysia sessions are strange (UK times):

Fri 03.00, 07.00
Sat 07.00, 10.00
Sun 08.00
That's strange as it seem to put me and UK at 5 hours difference, I'll have to check times nearer the race day

Edit to say, the time on F1.com could be Brazilian federal time which is 11 hours difference with Malaysia, it strange where I live as we never change our time, government offices just open later :) But the time above in the picture says 12 hours difference but google says 11 hours with Brasilia

I'll go with 4 hours difference to the sky times you post nearer the race :)

I'm working from the Sky schedule which has been known to have mistakes before:

Formula 1 (Sky Sports)

There's always at least one race when I have to go:

The little hand will be at 3 so add 5 hours which makes it *fingers and toes*... later.

verstappen done a pretty class overtake  shitty start tho, hes had a couple of those recently init?

It does my head in sometimes, in the picture above it says Kuala Lumpar time is 23.22 and my time is 11.22 so 12 hours difference but google says this:
Malaysia is 11 hours ahead of Brasilia - Federal District, Brazil
11:33 Sunday, in Brasilia - Federal District, Brazil is
22:33 Sunday, in Malaysia

But we are on federal time here at the moment so maybe the F1 site is wrong  but I think it is google time that is wrong

I think google is wrong it says the time there now is 22:54 but the clock on the TV says the time at the track is 23:54

Fuck it I give up I'll go with your times Limejuice when you post them up :)

Are Apple in talks to buy McLaren
Not according to McLaren. My inbox was full of reports today claiming that Apple Inc are about to buy McLaren Technology Group or make a "strategic investment". It seems that all such reports lead back to one article in the Financial Times by Tim Bradshaw, he claims "three people briefed on the negotiations".

McLaren have since issued a one line statement saying "We can confirm that McLaren is not in discussion with Apple in respect of any potential investment". Another source at McLaren is also reported as saying "It’s not true at all. There’s no chatter, there’s no acquisition".

It all seems a little strange. I have noticed that Tim Bradshaw, who broke the story has recently tweeted "Obviously we stand by our story despite McLaren's statement."

Other reports are claiming that Mumtalakat (the Bahraini sovereign wealth fund) that owns 50% of "McLaren" are selling their shares in the company, but they only have shares in the road car manufacturing part of McLaren and as far as I recall don't own any shares in the McLaren Technology Group or the F1 team.

All seems as clear as mud
