There's some long fast over-taking feeding into several serious turns with small direct-ahead run-off zones.Looks like a good track for some over-taking and may be a safety car or two
No, I didn't hear him - but I was watching the Eng v Australia rugby with the sound up and F1 on another screen with sound down.Is Martin back on Sky?
Interesting, I'm surprised he'd take a weekend off for a support race
Yup.The bit by the castle looks very tight. I predict some kind of incident there.
Or maybe lap 1.Yup.
The only question for me is how soon? Lap 1, lap 1 or lap 1?
No, he ain't.Perez to Ferrari, I can't see it. Is he really that good, personally I don't think so.
Of the youngsters available I think Sainz would be a good fitNo, he ain't.
He had a shot at a top drive at McLaren and wasn't up to it.
Ferrari want a real wunderkind. Someone young (ish) with outstanding driving skills. They can afford and the brand will attract the very, very best.
I like Sainz...Of the youngsters available I think Sainz would be a good fit
Sainz option?I like Sainz...
Psychic!
Horner has just said on Sky that his option will be taken up in the next few days!
Yup.Sainz option?
With Red Bull drivers in place until at least 2018 he would be committed to Toro Rosso, maybe they have offered him a red bull drive after that, I'd have thought if he had good management there would be a "top team" clause. I think if Ferrari want him they'd buy-out his contract.Yup.
I think he was referring to TR, rather than RB. He's "very happy" with Danny Ric and the Wunderkind.
He must be looking over the fence into TR.
I'll be mildly disappointed if he re-signsIn commentary, the Sky people have reiterated that TR will be taking up Sainz's option in the next few days.
I'd be interested to know how the option is bedded into his contract.I'll be mildly disappointed if he re-signs
I think the team would have the option, as the employer (top drivers may also have it written into their contract, didn't Ferrari have to pay off Alonso to get out of a contract extension). I'm sure most drivers will have a "top team clause" and may be something that allows them to buy themselves out of any extension.I'd be interested to know how the option is bedded into his contract.
is it just one side who can exercise? Can Sainz decline an extension? Can he contractually jump to another team and if so does money change hands?
