The gap was clearly there for Lewis when he went for it, it was Nico who closed the door when Lewis's front wing was next to Nico's side-pod.

In two weeks time at Monaco we will see the Ultra-soft tyres for the first time, I'm looking forward to see how they work.

If the stewards put any blame at all on Lewis he could get his 3rd reprimanded and that means a ten place grid penalty at the hardest track for overtaking, Monaco. That would really put him on the back foot for the championship.
