How do I change this 'custom title' thing then?

I was swayed by what it said on the bus.I lied about the underpants.

Rather than thread merges we could request splices.Megathreads are the worst thing about this place, IMO. I don't understand the fear of starting a new thread for a new topic.
Ian Bothan has just died? Cool, start a RIP thread. Don't bump the thread about his dispute with the RSPB just because it's the most recent thread you could find that featured him.
They're hard to keep up with, go off on wild tangents, and end up with the same handful of people arguing from entrenched positions.
They also bury potentially important/interesting news that might have been of interest to other posters who aren't in the megathread for whatever reason.
Amazing idea. Let a hundred threads bloomRather than thread merges we could request splices.
It might work. (I'm often linking to VoteUK which does exactly this).I have an idea that I'm slightly interested in: what about a sub forum to host discussion on all forthcoming and archived election chat?
Like the post if you think it's a whizzo idea or just ignore it. I don't care. No irons in the fire, not my hill to die on etc etc,
This was why we needed a sub forum.I've started a prediction thread for Islington North (UK election poll: Islington North)
I've two more in mind, though wary of spamming the forum, I'll leave these if the consensus is that against doing this.
Completely. Mega threads become mega time wastes. A sub forum would allow one to select topics of interest to read. This was why we needed a sub forum.
Probably makes sense to have a new one each election cycle.I think if the sub-forum gets archived, I'll start a new Political Polling thread in UK P, P & CA for the run down to 2029!
Might be worth having somewhere for by-election threads if they're as numerous as the previous parliament.Probably makes sense to have a new one each election cycle.
