Gorgeous trousers. I'd love to wear trousers like that but I'm only 5' 3. Great value in the sale aren't they? They'll last you ages :)

I want them too. I have wide hips though. Will they make me look v wide and blocky, do you think? Oh if only Spanglechick was here to help.

I bought these from Clarks. I did have in mind a higher chunkier heal but I couldn't see any I like. I did see some on the office website but not in the shops. And then I thought these were more practical anyway and more affordable for me atm

When I was buying them a couple of student nurses (who I'd assumed were still at school) said of the shoes they were trying on, 'they're not supposed to look good, they're supposed to be comfy'. I felt really old and boring.

Those are perfect winter trouser boots - not to narrow toed, chunky heal, will keep you out of the bloody rain (does it ever stop raining?!)

I bought a grey wool tunic with some purple lines on it and a wibbly wobbly hem, extra long pointy sleeves and long pointy pockets from here. Very Bjork. I spent all week telling myself dont buy any clothes but Rejkavik clothes are sooooo nice and on the last day I gave in. I calmed myself by saying its art, there is only one and its helping the Icelandic economy. The designer is called gaga and she insisted on dressing me in it and told me that it should be worn on a mountain with scruffy boots as the colours and shapes were based on the mountains around Selfoss where I had been earlier in the week. Her clothes are all viking/pixie ish and made from icelandic wool.

This thread makes me want to shop  (have no money).

My latest purchase is a pair of furry boot slippers from M&S :D Next I'll be leaving there with a pair of beige slacks and a woolen nightie ffs.

This little bag from Longchamp:

I have one of those and it's fab - I carry my laptop and my work stuff in it.

You're never 5'3" I would have sworn you were taller than me!

You started it :p And don't knock furry boot slippers. I was wearing some before I tried on my new shoes:

possibly £6 from Littlewoods. Or possibly £30. Either way they rock. Unfortunately I also have no money but I do have a large overdraft facility

Ooooh... They're got the V.Westwoods about them... the Tartan and the Platform... Very nice!

I ended up with another Le Pliage bag on the weekend - a medium one in Bilberry... very much in love with them both :)

I am! People often seem surprised, usually when they're standing right next to me. I don't know why as I don't wear heals and I'm not exactly willowy or anything. Although children don't usually mistake me for a taller person; they usually like to point out how much shorter than they I am

Trashy, 4 hours later I remembered I wore wedge sandals for the wedding where I last saw you. Its so rare I'd forgotten. So I was taller than 5' 3 after all, kind of :)

 ace shoes trashy!

I bought a pair of Firetrap bootcut jeans from Littlewoods using the £25 off code. Then a second hand Levis mini denim skirt from ebay.

I'm really pissed off with my clothes. All of them make me look fat because they don't fit properly. Take my favourite pencil skirt for example, it fits nicely over my enormous hips, looks pretty good around the arse, nice length with a a zip to alter the sluttyness depending on mood. It's a great skirt.
But it's really baggy round the waist. it's loose and lumpy under clothes and I don't know how to fix it :(

I need a new skirt

I had this yesterday Shifty, but with jeans... I wasted a whole day trawling through town, nothing fit properly, couldn't find what I wanted. Every dress and skirt I tried on looked crap, and one dress I really wanted to try on was sold out.

I cam home with some pyjama bottoms and some ear muff things... that's it :D

I've done the jeans thing and given up. I have big thighs so it will impossible to find jeans loose on the thigh, generous on the hips, flattering of arse and small of waist. grrr.
I'm going to find some well fitting skirts.
What shops are good for what they call sharp tailoring? I need a good black pencil skirt and I need some good black trousers for short people
