Firing off a shotgun after a police pursuit is pretty crazy.

According to the Metropolitan Police, 18 year-old Keymarni King of Cromer Road, SW17, was arrested on Monday 4 March 2024 and charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life / enabling another to do so, aggravated vehicle taking and injury caused by an accident, and two counts of wounding / inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.

Keymarni King will appear before Bromley Magistrates’ Court later today

The charges relate to an incident involving the police pursuit of a moped allegedly being ridden by two people who failed to stop in the Clapham area on Friday 1 March 2024.

The moped collided with a pedestrian, and crashed. A firearm was reported to have been dropped and discharged as it hit the ground.

The pedestrian and two other people injured, have now all been released from hospital.

Work to trace a second suspect is ongoing.

Given that "around 40 people had gathered in and around St Rule Street on Friday evening and the early hours of Saturday morning. A dispute appears to have flared up rapidly after 2.00 a.m., resulting in shots being fired", presumably someone knows exactly what happened:

Gutted by the loss of Sintra, I hope it stays a portugese cafe or similar, but I fear it's ripe for some sourdough bullshit.

Can anyone recommend a decent place to work for a few hours near Oval tube? Can be a bit of a walk but that sort of area.

Awful indeed.

Nearly six years later, The Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Offensive Weapons) (Amendment, Surrender and Compensation) Order 2024 comes into force - sadly too late for The Late Malcolm Mide-Madariola and many, many others in and around the area and further afield, but hopefully not for others to come.

"£19.99. That was the cost of the knife that killed my son."

Dr Olumide Wole-Madariola says he remembers "vividly" the weapon used to murder his 17-year-old son Malcolm Mide-Madariola in November 2018 ..."

The shooting incident in Clapham Common on the afternoon of Friday 1 March 2024 which left two passers-by hosptalised with gunshot injuries and a third person injured by the moped being ridden by the gunmen resulted in Brolynn Dangi of Unwin Road, Hounslow and Keymarni King of Cromer Road, Tooting, both pleading guilty to possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence after appearing at the Old Bailey on 1 October 2024.

Both of them will be sentenced at the same court on 29 November 2024:
