Does anyone know whether this stamp duty holiday will apply to people who already own property? Could be a massive bung for btl landlords?
It only applies to people buying a 'main house', whether the own one already or first time buyers, but not for second or BTL properties.
yeh extending it to second homes and btl is really helping the hardworking families of the countryNo, it's as I said above. The threshold is raised to £500k for all buyers, and the 3% additional rate remains: Stamp duty cut extended to second homes and BTL - Mortgage Strategy
we all know you mean Badgers, his love of the ikea hotdog is well-knownDo Ikea still do 50p hotdogs? Asking for a friend with designs on 40 for a tenner.

it's like david cameron, theresa may and indeed alexander boris de pfeffel johnson had never used the phraseYou seem to be under the illusion that the chancellor is still Gordon Brown. "Hardworking families" didn't feature once in his speech.
It kept being mentioned I don't watch the news. Thought I might be missing out on a claim form.Fearlessly asking the question no one else dares?
Not only that but fucking Nandos vouchers you can only use on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays!Fucking Nandos vouchers. Jesus fucking wept....

Just seen this is just part of the Green Homes Grant which is in September so nothing new. Also as usual the UK is falling far behind other countries on this. How do I get my double glazing money? Is it cash or into my account?
Some commentators have said that the £2bn investment isn’t enough, citing that the French and German governments have pledged £36bn and £13.5bn, respectively, towards their green recoveries. Others have warned that the funds allocated for Green Homes Grants could run out very quickly, as happened with the 2014 Green Deal Home Improvement Fund.
Is N***o's confirmed then? What other places? A lot of independent chicken sheds rely on undeclared income so this could cripple them financiallyNot only that but fucking Nandos vouchers you can only use on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays!

Reckon we could give it another go? Plundering and such?i'm always astonished how, when the shitness of the country can't really be anything new, this country ever managed to conquer a quarter of the world's land area.
i don't think boris johnson could swash a buckle to save his lifeReckon we could give it another go? Plundering and such?
i'm trying to imagine your avatar with an eye patch and waving a jolly rogerReckon we could give it another go? Plundering and such?
Has anyone done any research about the psychology of consumerism and how if you suggest someone could have something and they decide what they want, maybe in detail, and then you don't give them the discount/whatever they'll go ahead with the purchase anyway.
Like when Ubereats run a 50% off for the first 10000 to use the code. I'm pretty sure it's just a way to get people to decide what they want got dinner and then buy it at full price.
Well that's my thoughts on the £500.
No one up for a cheapy Nandos, then?
the agony of choice or the choice of agony, not great alternativesIts a tough one. I do like 50% off but I don't like a 50% chance of getting the virus and ending up on a ventilator. As ever the agony of choice.
£400 and sunak's head on a stickIf the public settled for say £400 rather than the initial £500 it could be a goer?
I'm so so sorry.Apparently not, it’s Orang Utan who got our hopes up.
