Artists pimps random cars at night with fantastic results

The fact that I've been threatened with violence on this thread for pointing out that cars are less important than people speaks volumes IMO.
Come off it, Frank. That was a feisty response to you calling him a "tragic, tragic, tragic, human being" and winding him up. You know as well as everyone else does that it wasn't a serious threat.

Maybe I was being unreasonable. Perhaps I'll go back and edit that post to put in a couple of extra tragics.

You're defending the indefensible. To respond to a post with an invitation to actual violence is inappropriate, immature and against the board rules, as well you know.

I'm sorry how do you know it was a feisty response and not a genuine threat of violence. What is your medicinal psychological background that lets you make that call?

I didn't realise you'd interviewed everyone here to ask them for their interpretation of his comments. I'll look forward to you publishing the full survey results and the methodology used.

Well if you threaten to use or use violent language in real life the default assumption is you are making a threat. Ask any police officer emergency services even train staff. So perhaps kernite should exercise more restraint in his language or stop being such a prissy little dick. Or both.

Although this is all a wind-up, let's not ignore the fact that in London we the non car owning majority are massively subsidising these people who park their cars on the public street. If they want to get all indignant and whiny about someone sticking a bit of masking tape on their precious possessions then why don't they keep them in their house as per almost every other kind of private property.

It was OTT in the face of provocation. Happens all the time on here. But for someone whose own website features a punch gallery inviting people to cyber-violence: "who's worthy of a good slap?", your protestations are somewhat hollow.

And you're still avoiding the fact that you've used this thread to goad, and then deliver subsequent accusations of a poster being "serially unhinged" and a "borderline psychopath".

Nice move that.

Mate of mine once got his head kicked in because he opened a can of beer while walking past some cunt's car and a small amount of foam from the can sprayed onto the bonnet.

This isn't hypothetical stuff, there really are people out there who will use violence to defend the imaginary honour of an inanimate object. The fact that I've been threatened with violence on this thread for pointing out that cars are less important than people speaks volumes IMO.

When I was student a brand of boots became fashionable. A brand name that sounds like a type of cheese - Roquefort. I wasn't aware of the fashion until I accidentally trod on a pair in a busy nightclub. I apologised but he worked himself into a rage. I didn't understand the guys anger when he started to rage about cheese, he had to explain to me that not only did I tread on his feet, I trod on his special and expensive Rockport boots.

He was incensed that not only did I tread on his shoes, I also didn't recognise how much of a major problem it was. They were special shoes and I transgressed his honour by not realising how special his shoes were - he responded with violence.

I must admit I was gently trying to take the piss by going on about cheese. I was also gently trying to take piss when I sought meaning from what our cardboard joker has been doing through the reactions he exposed here. If there is any connection it's that we can take ourselves, and our possessions a little too seriously.

Oh my Lord. Off the scale stupidity. That Punch Gallery - which is on a different part of the site and dates back to 1997 ( making it a formidably desperate dredge by you) - involves a cartoon knockabout against public figures.

And that's quite different to the direct personal invitation to violence delivered here by 'your mate': "fancy a go you curly little cunt?".

I'd be seriously upset if someone did this to my car. Even masking tape, when left on for long, can damage the paintwork, it would certainly damage my roof, which would be a very expensive repair.

I'd confidently predict that there would be no lasting damage from the paper based tape used. That's why they use the stuff for masks when spraying bodywork.

It's not a dredge at all! It's two fucking clicks away, and everyone who's been here for more than half an hour knows about it. Of course it's different to what DK posted, nobody is making a comparison. Just not sure you're the right person to be condemning half-arsed remarks on the one hand, whilst condoning punching people in the face on another.

Do you?

And again, do you think it's reasonable to goad a poster into a hyperbolic statement and then call them 'boderline psychopaths' because of it?

All kinds of tape become increasingly difficult to remove without leaving residue the longer they are left in place. Anyone who's been away for a few days will have a hard job removing that without leaving sticky residue and fucking up the body work.

The "artist" in question has also blocked the number plates in some of his efforts. I'm not sure what the laws of the land say about it where this is taking place, but that could create yet more grief for the car owner.

Would you ever just fuck off.

Jesus. You've lost the plot completely. Mind you, it is rather sweet the way you're defending the honour of your violent chum and still think it's OK for posters to threaten others here. Just to remind you: it's not acceptable and never has been.

... and still think it's OK for posters to threaten others here.
Ah, here we go. Your standard misrepresentation tactic.

Can you point me to a post where I've said this is ok? (As opposed to the one where I said it was over the top).

Thanks.

Also, are we any closer to a response on why you think it's ok to bring another poster's mental health into question?

We've just asked all the posters on the boards here what they think and we all agree that you're acting like a total knob.

Of course you did Malcolm. ;)

Now, is someone who posts "I'd fucking stab them" in these circumstances, more or less psychotic than someone who develops and maintains a punch gallery, in your professional opinion?

I'm an arsehole for taking editor to task over his behaviour and comments about another poster's mental wellbeing?

Hmmm. You can go on ignore. :)

No you're the arsehole for reading the most malicious and pernicious intent into editors words while giving kermit the benefit of the doubt.

paintstrippers cheap as chips as well

heres one I can't defend and have mentioned before on here. I'm walking home from work swigging from a cranberry bacardi breezer like the Don I am and I pass a topless car, open to the sun. Cream interior, spotless as fuck. Bottle of of bacardi breezer cranberry. Cream interior. Bottle of cranberry breezer. Cream. Interior.

So I launched the bottle in there out of sheer nihilistic spite.. Slight spin on it too, so the contents really gave the interior a good coating. I wouldn't do it today but back then I lacked a class analysis to articulate my rage so nihilism prevailed. Now thats worthy of a stabbing in the arsecheek.

tbf the Barcardi Breezer probably washed away all the flob laid down by people who had passed by before you.
