And next, Syria?

Suicide bombings kill 23 near Iran embassy in Beirut
Reuters. Tue Nov 19, 2013
Two suicide bombings rocked Iran's embassy compound in Lebanon on Tuesday, killing at least 23 people including an Iranian cultural attaché and hurling bodies and burning wreckage across a debris-strewn street.

A Lebanon-based al Qaeda-linked group, the Abdullah Azzam Brigades, claimed responsibility and threatened further attacks unless Iran withdraws forces from Syria, where they have backed President Bashar al-Assad's 2-1/2-year-old war against rebels.
Grim video of this on the channel 4 news. Another civil war in Lebanon?

Also talk of the Iranian Al-Quds Force in Qalamoun mountains aiding Syrian government troops and Lebanese Hezbollah

Iran must utilise Hez and retaliate by bombing the Saudi terrorists. Let them show the world the Sunni terrorism cannot be tolerated. Iron fist. Thoughts and Prays with the innocent peace loving Shia murdered by sunni butchers.

cos what the region really needs is more intense sectarian violence.

be quiet. the region is plagued by sunni extremists. 98% of all sectarian bombing/violence is carried out by sunnis hell bent on eliminating the shia. pakistan and Iraq are two main examples. Iran never exports violence unless in self defence. The sunni extremists of the gulf states and saudi arabia export it as part and parcel of their inherent belief.

Firing scud missiles at women and children is hardly anti terrorism it's a civil war.
All sides are pretty keen on terrible acts.
Kicking the Baath party and Assad out might be a good idea. Thought his supporters and minorities would be massacred.
And if Assad wins the opposition and anyone not loyal enough gets massacred.

Link? Source?

While im sure terrible acts have been committed in this war, as in any war, you can't just pull crap out yer ass. War itself is a terrible act, thus the gorping at with horrified disbelief at those suggesting we use dollops of it to fix stuff and build things.

Well anti terrorism suggests a limited sort of war. Which is plainly not what is happening in Syria. If you have resorted to Scud missiles it plainly not just anti terrorism.

No, it's a war, the country is literally being invaded by jihadists backed by petromonarchies, a super power and a gaggle of other shady backers with histories of imperialism in the area...

If the ruling regime was not a bunch of utter cunts I might care. They brought it on themselves it is a shame that the population is caught between them.

if the majority of the population didnt support their government it would have fallen long ago. And this war isnt about the regime, its about a pluralist syria and its fight for survival .

There we have it, demonise the target and dylanisdisarmed, do what you want to the people. Sure, it's a shame or whatever.

It is not just jihadis fighting the Syrian government and their commiting their own share of atrocities.

Yes, the war is complex and the best thing would be that the attackers stop attacking and a process of political and diplomatic dialogue is commenced between all interested Syrian parties with input from actual neighbours o Syria. The regime has made it clear that it is willing to enter into that process, the foreign backed crusaders are both unable and unwilling to enter into any such process while the regime is not defeated (signature red and white stripes that).

All this is the familiar old trick of demonizing the uppity cheif and his savage ways to justify seizing mining concessions one masacred vilage at a time. Meanwhile the trail of tears of the Syrian youth into the brothels of Arab sheiks and exploited economic underclasses of Europe for those that don't drown in the Med proceeds apace. Behind them the smoking ruin of what was once their independant country will be ripe for Western neoliberalism to digest with tax-payer acids and shat out as lumps of dissapeared billions and uncompleted over-priced schools and hospitals etc. Same old same old.
